Job Summary
As the Bank’s regulatory, legal and policy experts, Risk, CFCR and Legal partner across the business to meet our clients need and enable sustainable growth in an increasingly complex landscape. To support the Bank’s aspiration to be the best cross-border and affluent bank across our markets, building the function for the future.
The Bank’s Fit for Growth programme in our transformation enabler, providing funding to expand and accelerate our strategic initiatives through simplification, digitisation, and standardisation.
We are looking for a high-impact finance leader to partner with CFCR & Legal MT to lead end to end financial planning, forecasting, and cost analysis for the function, providing challenge and insight to deliver sustainable savings and enable business outcomes through the Fit for Growth journey for the function. This role has a matrix reporting to CFO, Risk CFCR and Legal and sits in the Group CFO function as part of the Business performance operations and Functions finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Responsible for strategic partnership to the CFCR and Legal MT and its COO function for driving efficient cost performance through aiding in decision making process that impacts the financial performance of the function and the organisation.
Business
• Support and partner with CFO, Risk CFCR and Legal in elevating finance role in service of the overall transformation of the function with superior cost performance as an outcome.
• Foster and develop strong business partnering relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to the functions MT and COO stakeholders.
• Provide thought leadership on driver-based planning and analytics of the functions cost which informs and shapes business decisions and influenceability of functions cost where appropriate.
• Supporting the functions FFG agenda to deliver on its business case and corporate plan commitments in the area of sustainable cost efficiencies within agreed cost to achieve guardrails.
• Drive robust cost-challenge conversations and manage performance via agreed metrics.
Processes
• Conceptualize and deliver high impact, executive-ready presentations to support the cost performance narrative for various senior level discussions including monthly cost reviews with MT’s , Cost management group forum and Group performance reviews
• Bring effective cost challenge to monthly cost reviews with functions MT and BPM’s through data and insights.
• Drive strategic adoption of enterprise wide workforce planning tool to drive insights into workforce costs and drivers
• Lead the annual corporate plan process from the outcome’s perspective in line with top down target setting mandate of the group while balancing effective resource allocation decision within the function
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of key strategic business plans, deep dives, and other requested analysis to support the Group/function cost agenda
• Prepare and coordinate information for presentations to the Board, investor communications, and external presentations by the business heads, finance heads and Investor Relations teams
• Collaborate with the finance process delivery unit of the Business performance organisation to ensure timely delivery of cost MI , outlook and analytics
• Understanding key opportunities for simplifying, standardising, and digitising the Bank’s processes and overall capability
• Be predictive and proactive so we have performance management updates readily available.
• Drive a culture of process excellence permeating through all levels in the organization.
• Strive for innovation – i.e., new ideas to be generated across the team. BAU team to tap their time and deliver Change.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and management reporting and policies.

Qualifications
• Chartered Accountant /CPA/CMA/MBA with 15+ years of relevant finance experience in Finance Partnering, Financial Planning & Analysis and Performance management.
• Deep understanding and strong competence in managing costs and Operations units in the industry. Strong analytical and strategic mindset coupled with a thorough understanding of the Banking Industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the drivers of businesses performance and relevant key performance measures of Banking business
• Ability to understand and connect business drivers relevant to the Performance management processes.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi-task, lead through ambiguities and influence, work with global teams.
• Effective communication skills, including presenting and influencing senior management.
• Make sound decisions/influence making sound decisions based on business priorities.
• Comfortable dealing with incomplete information, uncertainty, change and dealing with ambiguities.
• Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
