Job Summary

The Vice President, NFRR Operations role is accountable for establishing and operating a best-in-class Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting capability that safeguards the Bank against regulatory reporting risk through standardisation, governance, controls, data optimisation, and automation. The role is responsible for driving a scalable and sustainable operating model that enhances the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and integrity of regulatory reporting while supporting the Bank's regulatory obligations across jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead the Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting (NFRR) function to ensure accurate, complete, and timely regulatory reporting across all in-scope jurisdictions while maintaining a strong control environment, driving regulatory compliance, enabling automation and transformation, and fostering a high-performing team.

Regulatory Reporting Delivery & Compliance
•    Accountable for the timely, accurate, and complete submission of all NFRRs to regulatory authorities.
•    Establish and maintain a robust governance and control framework to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
•    Oversee management of regulatory breaches, resubmissions, remediation actions, and regulatory examinations.
•    Drive a culture of first-pass accuracy and zero tolerance for regulatory reporting failures.

Risk, Controls & Governance
•    Accountable for the effectiveness of the NFRR control environment, including maker-checker controls, data quality controls, validation frameworks, and monitoring mechanisms.
•    Ensure regulatory reporting risks are identified, assessed, escalated, and mitigated through appropriate action plans.

Transformation, Automation & Continuous Improvement
•    Define and execute the NFRR transformation strategy, driving standardisation, simplification, digitisation, and automation of reporting processes.
•    Identify opportunities to improve data lineage, data sourcing, data quality, and process efficiency.
•    Drive automation initiatives, strategic data integrations, workflow enhancements, and advanced analytics solutions to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
•    Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, control effectiveness, and client/stakeholder experience

Stakeholder Management & Regulatory Engagement
•    Serve as the senior point of contact for key stakeholders across countries, businesses, functions, risk, compliance, audit, and regulators.
•    Influence senior stakeholders to implement sustainable solutions to regulatory reporting challenges and operating model changes.
•    Provide thought leadership on regulatory reporting governance, operating model design, controls, and industry best practices.
•    Support audits, regulatory reviews, and governance committees through high-quality reporting, analysis, and executive updates.

Operating Model & Strategic Leadership
•    Define and implement target operating models that enhance accountability, standardisation, scalability, and resilience across NFRR activities.
•    Ensure clear segregation of responsibilities among Return Owners, SMEs, Data Domain Owners, and Operations teams.
•    Lead migration, centralisation, reverse migration, and organisational change initiatives as required.
•    Establish performance metrics and management information to monitor operational effectiveness and strategic outcomes.

People Leadership & Talent Development
•    Lead, coach, and develop geographically dispersed teams, creating a high-performance and inclusive culture.
•    Build organisational capability in regulatory reporting, controls, data management, process excellence, and automation.
•    Set objectives, manage performance, support succession planning, and develop future leaders.
•    Promote strong conduct, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning across the function

Expected Outcomes
•    Zero delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete regulatory submissions.
•    Strong and sustainable regulatory reporting control environment.
•    No material audit, compliance, or regulatory findings attributable to reporting failures.
•    Improved automation, straight-through processing, and operational efficiency.
•    Enhanced stakeholder confidence and regulatory credibility.
•    High employee engagement, capability development, and succession readiness within the NFRR function

People and Talent
•    Set direction and drive high performance by translating strategy into clear direction, aligning individual goals to team outcomes and providing regular, constructive feedback.
•    Develop talent and capability through coaching and career conversations that build critical skills, stretch potential and prepare individuals for future opportunities.
•    Lead by example by role-modelling the Bank’s valued behaviours, upholding strong risk and conduct standards, exercising sound judgment, and creating an inclusive team culture that supports wellbeing, values diverse perspectives, and drives accountability.

Motivation

•    Protect the Bank's Licence to Operate : The primary driver is regulatory compliance. An NFRR leader ensures that all non-financial regulatory obligations are fulfilled accurately, completely, and on time, thereby avoiding regulatory breaches, remediation actions, fines, and reputational damage.

•    Establish Strong Governance and Accountability : NFRR sits at the intersection of Business, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Data. A key motivation is to create clear ownership, governance forums, roles, responsibilities, and escalation mechanisms so that accountability for regulatory reporting is unequivocal.

•    Improve Data Quality and Control Environment : Many regulatory reporting issues originate from upstream data challenges. The NFRR leader is motivated to improve data lineage, data quality, validation frameworks, maker-checker controls, reconciliation disciplines, and evidence trails to achieve "first-time-right" reporting.

•    Drive Standardisation Across Markets: The strategic vision reflected in the NFRR CoE and operating model is to move from fragmented country-specific processes to a standardized global framework. Standardisation improves consistency, scalability, training effectiveness, and operational resilience.

•    Reduce Risk Through Centralised Expertise : NFRR is a specialist capability. Centralising knowledge and execution helps reduce key-person dependency, ensures consistent regulatory interpretations, strengthens succession planning, and creates a deeper bench of regulatory expertise

•    Enable Transformation and Automation : A major motivation is to move the organisation up the maturity curve from manual and reactive processes toward automated, data-driven, straight-through-processing models with advanced validation and monitoring capabilities
•    Build Sustainable Long-Term Capability:  The NFRR strategy explicitly positions centralisation as a risk mitigation and capability-building initiative, not merely a cost-saving exercise. The objective is to create a durable operating model capable of supporting increasing regulatory expectations.
