Job Summary

Strategy
Stick to the updated Mortgage strategy to acquire biz with high productivity and mobility; Pivot to Affluent.    

Business
•    Understand the latest PPM customer value propositions and actively promote to local frontline staff. Regularly organize region/city level training on PPM and key channels to ensure frontline staff are familiar with latest new initiatives from mortgage;
•    Assist HO in the local implementation of PPM in respective region/cities
•    Actively provide feedback/solutions to customers to ensure customer experience and satisfaction
•    Leverage external channel resources to onboard and maintain corporate partnership eco-system, and improve mortgage customer experience and loyalty
•    Understand local competitor movement and target customer needs, capture market information and potential opportunities to boost up local mortgage business, and provide timely feedback to Regional Head and HO
•    Ensure proper end-to-end management of partnership from onboarding, due diligence, regular review and maintenance in accordance with internal instructions and DOI.
•    Timely formulate the annual plan for client events for the responsible region/cities accordingly to business agenda. Effectively manage the marketing budget spending within the allocated amount. Ensure that the theme of the events is clear and meets the requirements of Mortgage, in order to promote effective communication and support business growth on mortgage client acquisition and wealth penetration.
•    Provide guidance and support for micro/mini customer activities independently arranged in Region/Cities. Ensure that they comply with Standard Chartered Bank's marketing activity standards, and effectively initiate and execute various marketing activities to develop new qualified priority clients and drive mortgage and wealth penetration.
•    Be accountable for MM events management. 
•    Strictly adhere to the relevant internal policies and procedures. Responsible for the formulation of monthly event plan, negotiation with partners, budget application and control, expense reimbursement, collection of customer leads and timely input into system as required.

Key Responsibilities

Channel development and channel performance management
•    Actively develop business channels to support mortgage business development and maintain good business partnership with channel
•    Successfully on-board qualified channels to deliver allocated performance targets
•    Track and monitor channel performance including new on-boarded channels and existing channels
•    Support frontline to arise new initiatives and proposal for projects
•    Meet channel development governance criteria and requirement including channels KYC, due diligence, documentation check, visitation, etc.
•    Participate actively in training program and briefings organized by the bank, and ensure skills and knowledge acquired is applied to daily work
•    Conduct appropriately and professionally as SCB representative; no mis-selling/over-promise on Bank’s commitment to channels
•    Work closely with stakeholders 
•    Keep updated in mortgage industry and environment
•    Learn and understand all relevant regulations and internal Operational Risk & Compliance policies and procedures
•    Ensure compliance of Management Manuals, Operating Manuals and Bank’s laid down knowledge of related products offered by all departments
•    Accountable for implementing and complying with AML requirements when performing duties.

Acknowledge, follow and able to work mobile in Pan China to support Sales team where having resource pressure and working location will be subject to detail arrangement on due with no objection and performing corresponding duties.

Qualifications

  • A University degree or above
  • Preferably having channel development experience no less than two years
  • Sound knowledge of bank products, services and banking procedures are preferred
  • Strong network with channels 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A good team player who shows assertiveness and initiative
  • Self motivator who is keen to upgrade, improve personal knowledge to meet job requirement
  • Good command of both spoken and written English / Mandarin
  • Motivated and drove by number, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate leadership and attributes
