Job Summary

The role holder’s primary responsibility will be to provide efficient, quality English-Chinese and Chinese-English live verbal interpretation services to the Global Research Team as well as written translations of published reports and other materials. The role holder will provide live verbal interpretation during webinars/roadshows for analysts, as well as facilitating China investor trips. In addition, the role will include the translation of a selection of English research reports for the broader research team into Chinese, and facilitate research information collection over time. The role holder will enhance and consolidate the service offering provided by the team to the Bank’s clients globally.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy/Business
• Live verbal interpretation at webinars and China roadshows
• Live verbal interpretation for various onshore visits including investor trips, analyst roadshows
• Provide quality written translation services and facilitate information collection
Processes
• Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations
• Ensure compliance with procedures and controls as a result of changes in products, systems, policy or regulations
Risk Management
• Be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group
• Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them
• Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in Global Research
Governance
• Ensure adherence to the product governance both individually and within the global team
• Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Be responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
