Job Summary

The Business System Support Officer is responsible for providing technical and functional support for the organization's business systems. This role involves troubleshooting system issues, ensuring smooth operation of business applications, and supporting end-users with their technical needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Provide first-line support for business systems, including troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
•    Assist in the configuration, testing, and deployment of new system functionalities and updates.
•    Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
•    Conduct regular system maintenance, including data integrity checks and system performance monitoring.
•    Develop and maintain system documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and standard operating procedures.
•    Train and support end-users on system functionalities and best practices.
•    Identify opportunities for system improvements and work with relevant teams to implement enhancements.
•    Monitor and respond to support tickets in a timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
•    Participate in system audits and compliance activities to ensure adherence to organizational policies and standards.
•    Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in business systems and support.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Play as a team member in BSS team to enhance application and infrastructure resiliency of service to ensure application is up all the time for all users

Work closely within technology teams and business to ensure all deliverables are tracked with high quality and within budgets.

Identify opportunities to eliminate all manual and repeatable task via automation
 • Reduce the number of repeat incidents by permanently fixing the underlying root cause of issues •
 Functional knowledge of Web and Server Applications Ensure adherence to all the processes from all the teams / application under allocated squad.


Collaborate with global teams in the production engineering, Development, Infrastructure on enhancements of Group Applications 

Identify key issues in the business areas being supported, and based on this information, put in place appropriate controls and measures to assess, monitor, control & mitigate risks.Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the governance, oversight and controls and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role

Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
