Job Summary
• Interact with the client, gather deal requirements, financial statements, and other inputs for performing quality analysis and due diligence.
• Ensure delivery of strong performance across financial and non-financial KPIs, in alignment with the country Wealth & Retail Banking (WRB) strategy in a safe and well-controlled manner.
• Establish, deepen and broaden relationship with Developers and Real Estate Agency.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of Mortgage performance and service standards.
• Work with RM/Product partners in structuring credit solutions for the clients and ensuring the appropriateness of the products.
• Ensure compliance of all internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio related policies e.g. input during credit preparation, other special reporting requirements, etc.
• To maintain good relationship with internal stakeholders for purpose of driving financial and non-financial KPI.
• Identify potential credit risks and recommend appropriate loan structures and risk mitigation strategies.
• Responsible to actively refer clients to other stakeholders especially for wealth and other lending products.
• To ensure close monitoring and timely follow-up on drawdown cases including progressive claims.

• Take ownership and accountability to drive the country strategies for Mortgage through effective management on relationship building with clients and stakeholders and adherence to rules and regulations and group policies and standards.

• Drive and support continuous process improvement for better operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with applicable internal policies and external laws and regulations and effectively manage operational risk across the business.
• Responsible for managing the integrity of WRB client data.
• Work closely with other stakeholders to support the delivery of WRB strategy in a safe and well controlled manner and on an end-to-end basis.
• Adhere to the policies and control standards set by risk control owners and policy owners, ensuring the business is in compliance, and operating within risk tolerance and risk appetite.
• Support and drive country strategies to achieve the Bank’s RoTE ambitions.
People & Talent
• Be a role model of the Group’s culture and values.
• Support an environment of collaboration within team and cross departments to ensure issues are raised and resolved in a timely manner.
Risk Management
• Highlight weaknesses across the end-to-end for the business in Brunei, risk and control environment and drive rectification as required.
• Ensure that systems and controls are in compliance with Group and Business policies, procedures, standards and codes, including those governing all Risk types, Compliance, Technology and Operations, Finance and Reputation

• Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’ challenging fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. • Internal – Retail Product and Digital, Client Onboarding Operation including CDD, Financial Crime Risk, Relationship Managers, Client Acquisition Team, Safe Custody Unit, Loan Disbursement Unit, Credit Initiation Unit and Credit and Policy Management.
