Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our Wealth Digital Products and Proposition Domain. This critical role involves bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, value-driven software.
Ideal candidate should possess Capital Market / Wealth product knowledge, specifically on Wealth Lending Platform with relevant skills and experiences to work on product innovation.

Strategy
•    Play a critical role in driving the success of the product by combining in-depth product knowledge with strategic thinking and market analysis to support decision-making and drive growth
•    Provide thought leadership on product improvisation with a view on competitive landscape and market trends to make informed product decisions.
•    Work in collaboration with PO to derive fit for growth product roadmap; with continuous focus on client metrics/feedback.

Business
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for the Wealth Lending platform.
•    Document requirements in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner, using techniques like user stories and use cases.
•    Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and agile development teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
•    Partner with Product Owners to define and prioritize the backlog, ensuring it reflects business value and technical feasibility.
•    Conduct impact analysis and identify potential risks associated with proposed changes or enhancements.
•    Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by creating test cases and assisting with test execution and defect resolution.

Processes
•    Analyse existing wealth lending processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
•    Map out new processes and workflows to support the development of new products and features.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management
•    Adheres to common practices to mitigate risk.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Governance
Ensure all artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies (SCB Governance Standards, ESDLC etc.).

Regulatory & Business Conduct

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key stakeholders
•    Product Owners, for requirements gathering and prioritisation. 
•    Engineering Lead and Domain Tech Lead, for solution design and delivery.

Skills and Experience

  • Requirements Analysis
  • Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyse and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.   
    Scrum
  • Knowledge of the principles, components and features of scrum methodology; ability to apply this methodology to manage software product development processes.
  • Software Change Request Management
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, managing product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.   
  • Agile Project Management
  • Knowledge of effective agile project management strategies and tactics and ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.   

Qualifications

EDUCATION     Bachelor's degree, or higher, in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
TRAINING     Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including:
-    Strong understanding of wealth lending products, services, and regulatory requirements.
-    Proven experience working on Wealth Management Systems in the financial services domain.
-    Hands-on experience in an Agile delivery environment, with a solid grasp of Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
-    Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, including process mapping, data analysis, and requirements gathering.
