Job Summary
Overview:
We are looking for motivated and outstanding candidates to join the Global Markets Operations (GMO) team. The Assistant Vice President (AVP) will support the Head of FXMM & Derivatives Operations in driving strategic transformation, operational excellence, and client-centric service delivery across global post-trade Markets operations. This role is designed for a high-potential operator with strong technical depth, commercial awareness, and a progressive mindset to grow into a well-rounded post-trade leader.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in FXMM, OTC Derivatives, and Commodities post-trade operations, including:
o Confirmations drafting and lifecycle management
o Cashflow settlements and funding mechanics
o SSI governance and settlement controls
• Handle BAU operations alongside hybrid and bespoke client structures in a fast-paced, high-value transaction environment.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy*
• Partner with the Head of Department to identify and execute strategic initiatives that enhance processing sophistication, scalability, fungibility, and client experience.
• Drive continuous process analytics to simplify workflows, eliminate unnecessary handoffs, and design scalable service models.
• Analyse client behaviour patterns to develop sustainable, best-in-class operating solutions aligned to client personas.
• Support integration of AI-enabled tools and automation capabilities into future-fit post-trade operating models.
• Contribute to capacity modelling, productivity optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
• Propose solutions to implement settlement process improvements, client service enhancements, or overall technology enhancements
Business*
• Maintain strong understanding of the global financial markets landscape, including regulatory and client ecosystem dynamics.
• Develop familiarity with the organization’s global client network, particularly Global Corporates and institutional counterparties.
• Engage proactively with FM Trading, Sales, Legal, Technology, and Risk partners to uphold service level standards.
• Participate in client engagements where required to support operational solutioning and service enhancement initiatives
• Provide sign-off for DOI to ensure updating of process procedures.
• Coordinate with internal and external clients to assess service quality and identify areas for improvement
Processes*
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in FXMM, OTC Derivatives, and Commodities post-trade operations, including:
o Confirmations drafting and lifecycle management
o Cashflow settlements and funding mechanics
o SSI governance and settlement controls
• Handle BAU operations alongside hybrid and bespoke client structures in a fast-paced, high-value transaction environment.
• Support senior management in daily oversight of operational performance, capacity management, and issue resolution.
• Apply structured problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking to enhance resiliency and turnaround times
• Investigation on GL Suspense and Nostro accounts’ imbalances including aged outstanding unconfirmed confirmations
Risk Management*
• Uphold strong operational risk discipline across confirmations and settlements processes.
• Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
• Proactively identify control gaps and support implementation of maker-checker and preventive controls.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation tracking.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience in banking operation
• Uphold strong operational risk discipline across confirmations and settlements processes.
• Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
• Proactively identify control gaps and support implementation of maker-checker and preventive controls.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation tracking.
