Job Summary

You will be part of a team processing Exchange Traded Derivatives (Futures & Options). Your responsibilities include trade processing, such as settlements and reconciliation, as well as supporting and participating in project transformation enhancements to improve business operational efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities

•  Provide comprehensive support for all House Franchises across relevant Business lines trading Exchange Traded Derivatives

•  Manage query remediation, trade life-cycling, and daily processing tasks, ensuring timely escalation to minimize risk

•  Possess in-depth knowledge of the Futures & Options product lifecycle across Rates, Commodities, FX, and Equities from front to back, serving as the subject matter specialist and primary contact for core systems processing

•  Lead continuous improvement and foster innovation:

•  Collaborate with Technology teams to drive transformation projects

•  Partner with FM to identify process enhancements and increase operational efficiency

•  Serve as the primary Operations liaison to Sales and Trading Desks locally:

•  Shield FM from post-execution processing and queries while representing Operations functions

•  Develop and strengthen the team’s profile with the Front Office

•  Engage stakeholders through effective two-way communication, acting as a trusted advisor

•  Support new business enablement and solution delivery by partnering on strategic Financial Market initiatives

•  Continuously seek opportunities to improve global consistency by collaborating closely with Hubs and other regions to close gaps and standardize processes

•  Communicate with trading desks and the COO to resolve immediate transactional issues and understand long-term operational needs to inform business needs

•  Build good relationships with colleagues in Bangalore, London, and New York ETD Operations as well as Singapore Clearing Technology to facilitate efficient communication and prompt issue resolution:

•  Identify and address knowledge gaps within the Global Team through training

•  Monitor daily Key Performance Index against Service Level Agreements

•  Engage with industry bodies and vendors to explore opportunities for process and system enhancements that drive efficiency

•  Act as the subject matter specialist for MIS, cost-per-trade, and touchpoints per trade; lead their development and identify areas to add value through improved data insights

•  Maintain awareness of vendor costs and seek opportunities to reduce expenses.

Qualifications

•  Bachelor of Degree in Banking or equalvalent

•  Subject matter specialist on Exchange Traded Derivatives (Futures & Options) with a core understanding trade and post trade processes

•  ETD trade, position and cash reconciliations inclusive of fees & commission management

•  Additional knowledge of expiry and trade life-cycling is highly desirable.

•  Minimum 5 years Financial Markets experience ideally from a top tier bank.

•  Understanding of front to back process and systems flows

•  Strong understanding of commodities products including Base Metals, Precious Metals, Structured Inventory

•  Product, Energy, Power & Gas. Financial and physical knowledge needed and highly advantageous.

•  Knowledge of Carbon Emissions and Voluntary Carbon Credits and experience of ICE Endex and CBL exchanges desirable.

•    Knowledge of vendor systems supporting ETDs (ION XTP, FIS, GMI or equivalent) Bloomberg, Murex v2.11 and v3.1 preferable plus LME SMART, LME SELECT, ICE Admin, ICE FEC, ICE ECS, CME Deliveries Plus, CME FEC
•    Proficient in Excel (pivots, lookups and basic VBA an advantage)
