Familiarity and compliance with the System Development Framework, Quality Management Framework, and the organization’s Risk Mitigation frameworks are essential, ensuring adherence to process, security, regulatory, and audit requirements.

You will work collaboratively within Agile Scrum teams, leveraging your 6-8 years of experience on the AS400 platform using RPG, CL, PL/SQL, and Control-M, complemented by 2-3 years of proficiency in Java, Maven, Git, and Azure DevOps. Leadership skills are key, as you will review and mentor junior developers to uphold coding standards and facilitate continuous improvement. Experience with credit card domain knowledge, DevOps practices, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines is necessary, with additional knowledge of AR Remedy and software lifecycle management tools like Thenon or Aldon considered an advantage. Flexibility and adaptability to evolving environments are highly valued, reflecting our commitment to innovation and excellence.

  • Lead and support credit card system development projects, aligning technical delivery with client and business outcomes.
  • Interpret and clarify business concepts and primary goals for new products or feature enhancements.
  • Assist in setting strategic benchmarks such as customer acquisition strategies and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with software development teams through workshops, user story creation, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
  • Prioritize features balancing stakeholder and technical needs.
  • Validate business requirements thoroughly with stakeholders before integrating into the development backlog.
  • Oversee project outcomes to ensure alignment with customer objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback to continuously improve products.

  • Recommend system solutions that drive growth in balances, interchange income, and interest income, focusing on the personal segment.
  • Transform manual processes into efficient, real-time, straight-through digital processing.
  • Deliver business initiatives at local, regional, group, and global levels.
  • Support standardisation efforts for Standard Chartered Bank’s Global Brand Products.
  • Ensure solutions meet speed-to-market requirements while preserving production system stability.

At the core of your daily responsibilities, you will:

  • Analyse, design, and document system specifications for credit card related projects, providing both functional and technical perspectives.
  • Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders, translating complex needs into actionable software features.
  • Collaborate closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure seamless system delivery and integration.
  • Manage risk by enforcing compliance with security, audit, regulatory, and quality frameworks embedded within the system development lifecycle.
  • Conduct code reviews, sharing expertise and mentoring junior team members to foster a high-performing development environment.
  • Champion Agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement by guiding Scrum ceremonies and facilitating effective team collaboration.
  • Track and report on project progress, proactively addressing impediments to keep deliverables on schedule.
