Job Summary

As an Associate within the Customized Reporting Competency team of the Private Banking COO function, the role holder will be primarily responsible for performing independent review of the generated customised client reports across PvB locations. This includes reviewing report outputs, supporting documentation, source data evidence and key calculations to confirm accuracy, completeness, consistency of presentation and alignment with applicable customised reporting procedures and governance standards.

The role will also support the ongoing management of the PvB Customized Reporting Framework/TOM, including inventory maintenance, governance tracking, review evidence management, issue follow-up, stakeholder coordination and periodic framework review activities. The role holder will work closely with Relationship Managers, Client Service Managers, Location COO teams to ensure customised reports are appropriately documented, reviewed and controlled before client distribution.

The role requires strong attention to detail, control mindset and the ability to apply consistent review standards across a dynamic customised reporting landscape. Product, client reporting knowledge an automation experience would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform first-line independent review of customised client reports prior to client distribution, including review of report content against provided source data, calculations and supporting documentation including completeness and appropriateness.
  • Take over the existing customised report review responsibilities from the current reviewer as part of the transition of review activities to this role.
  • Defined and apply the customised reporting review checklist, control standards and evidence requirements consistently across all assigned reports.
  • Validate that customised report outputs are aligned with approved report format, agreed client requirements, internal procedures and standard data representation practices.
  • Review supporting evidence provided by report preparers, including source extracts, system screenshots, calculation workings, reconciliation files and approval records, where applicable.
  • Identify and escalate data discrepancies, unexplained variances, incomplete documentation, control gaps or deviations from approved customised reporting procedures.
  • Support the maintenance and ongoing management of the customised reporting framework, including review standards, governance records, inventory status, attestation evidence and issue follow-up.
  • Maintain and update the central inventory of customised reports and non-standard client outputs across PvB locations, ensuring accurate classification, ownership, review status and lifecycle tracking.
  • Support feasibility assessments for new customised reporting requests, including review of client need, standard reporting alternatives, data availability, operational complexity, risk considerations and governance requirements.
  • Understand standard client reporting outputs and identify where customised reports deviate from standard available reports.
  • Review customised reports in the context of client requirements, approved report purpose, product behaviour, data availability and applicable internal procedures.

  • Work with various data sourcing tools (including T24, TAP, OMS system, data lake) to source required data for report generation and prepare required data field mapping.
  • Build the capabilities that improve the data availability and client reporting system flow.
  • Help building the simplification of the relevant data sourcing & preparation steps by automating the repeated tasks.
  • Work with PvB Customized Reporting Competency (CRC) team to establish adequate process and practices around the custom reports (from report generation to distribution).
  • Help with independent supervisory review of bespoke client reports on need basis.
  • Under the guidance of Head of PvB Client reporting and in close collaboration with key stakeholders, continuously review and raise the standards on internal controls in line with best-in class PvB practices.

Qualifications

  • Graduate / Master’s degree with 5-8 years of experience in banking industry.
  • Solid experience in private banking client statements.
  • Regulatory knowledge of MAS/HKMA/SFC and understanding of the private banking/ wealth management business is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of various financial product booking flow with T24 system knowledge. Knowledge of Temenos TAP system is added advantage.
  • Knowledge of analytics tool, hands-on with data analysis and related skill set will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to adapt and act quickly to drive change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
