Job Summary

Strategy

 

  • Support in the latest WRB strategy in pivoting to Affluent market and the execution in Retail Product space.
  • Support and implement the latest product governance strategy for WRB products.
  • Support Product Service-related activities for WRB, and work with WRB countries and group business in Product Program Governance document (PPG) and Country Addendum (CA) updates in the eProduct platform, adhering to the group Product Governance Standard requirement

 

Business

 

  • Work with Group Process Owner of the Product Management Process (For Retail Product Management) and relevant Functional Heads to drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of Product Management related processes. 
  • Drive business Operational Risk governance by working with Business Heads and Risk Owners to identify and resolve existing operational risks and horizon risks that is unique to retail products.
  • Take the lead in identifying and driving initiatives designed to increase business operating efficiency and strengthen first line operational risk management in the Product Management process.

 

Key Responsibilities

Processes


•    Work with WRB business members to deliver and maintain optimal global design for WRB products per the Product Governance Standard 
•    This includes end-to-end assessment of operational risk, establishing and maintaining Key Control Indicators, Control Sample Tests and Key Risk Indicators to manage operational risk arising from product management / product governance.
•    Assess the impact of Group Risk Owner policy changes on the Product Governance process, amend the relevant governance documents and ensure that the same is cascaded to countries and embedded with proper gap analysis and approved dispensations

 

People & Talent

 

•    Contribute and participate to any people / talent development programs setup of the BRM family.

 

Risk Management


•    Provide business input and oversight of the development of end-to-end scalable infrastructure (where appropriate) and processes to execute business processes pertaining to Product Management. 
•    Reinforce an effective and exemplary risk and control culture and further strengthen the control environment.
•    Act to minimize operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to matters arising and identify and manage forward looking risks.
•    Overall responsible for the implementation of ERMF/ORF for the process

 

Governance


•    Enhance an integrated governance structure for the robust and efficient governance processes in the business.
•    Reinforce an effective and exemplary risk and control culture and further strengthen the control environment.
•    Support countries on issues and risk resolutions arising from product governance activities, audits, risk reviews etc within the processes.
•    Responsible to ensure that key stakeholders and governance forums are kept up to date on key issues and resolution plans and overall progress on initiatives.

•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree from recognised unversities
  • Minimum experience of years in Business Risk Management & Product Governance Support with retail product & management knowledge is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and driving change in a large organization
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Business correspondence skills with excellent proficiency of English – written and spoken.
