Job Summary

This role will serve as the conduit between stakeholders and developers to gather requirements for tooling enhancements to support the prevailing Change Governance Policy and Change Delivery Standard. The incumbent is expected to be knowledgeable in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and have superior business analyst skill sets to accomplish the task at a desired quality level.

Key Responsibilities

•    Conducting deep dives and investigations to identify root causes for risk events and enhancement of controls where required.
•    Implement policy requirements against prevailing GIM strategies.
•    Plan and roll out the change management activities to ensure smooth execution and operational embedment across the Bank.

•    Support the GIM team in framing of effective processes and controls in accordance with the Change Governance Policy and Change Delivery Standard as well as conducting their effectiveness reviews.
•    Act as bridge between business stakeholders and developers to identify business needs, understand any problem statements from stakeholders, analyse, document and raise functional requirements to resolve them in alignment with business goals.
•    Evaluate processes and drive solutions to improve efficiency.
•    Raise clear and unambiguous user stories for system enhancements, proactively track them and follow through to completion.
•    Document relevant test cases and acceptance criteria for each user story raised.
•    Perform UAT on the user stories developed, ensuring quality outcome and within stipulated timelines.
•    Where required create training materials and conduct training sessions for changes as and when required.
•    Drive excellence in change delivery governance as a subject matter expert, encouraging consistent application and compliance.
•    Proactively identify trends and systemic issues related to change delivery.
•    Support GIM to define key controls, metrics, performing review and reporting per the Change Governance Policy and Change Delivery Standard, including automating system controls to improve efficiency and processes.
•    Assist with incremental updates of the Change Delivery Standard and roll-out, including training as and when required.
•    Fulfil the role of trusted advisor to Businesses/Functions regarding implementing the Change Governance Policy and Change Delivery Standard.
•    Participate in other change and transformational activities with GIM, as required.

•    Execute relevant risk management tasks and the necessary reporting requirements per agreed frequency.
•    Provide back up support to team members during their absence, block leave period or as assigned by People Leader.
•    Provide administrative support related to GIM mailbox management, relevant website administration and maintenance of GIM documentation repositories.

•    Establish appropriate controls and measures to ensure mitigation of operational risk for each new piece of functionality enhancement.
•    Identify knowledge gaps, facilitate development of training on Operational Risk for first line staff or control testers, as required.

•    Ensure that all process changes and development of user stories adhere to the principles of the prevailing Change Governance Policy and Change Delivery Standard.

Key Requirements for the role:
•    Good understanding of governance, risk and control.
•    Familiar with software development lifecycle (SDLC), must have relevant working experience in business analysis or project management.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to influence across all working levels.
•    Collaborative mindset and can independently drive initiatives with minimum hands-on supervision.
•    Competent in both written and spoken English.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher.
•    10+ years of working experience in banking, project management or relevant environment.
•    Working project management experience, possess sound understanding of project lifecycles and best practices, ideally with relevant certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.

Skills and Experience

•    Business analysis experience in large complex organisations
•    Experience of different lifecycles including Classic/Waterfall and Agile
•    Knowledge of Clarity, Tableau and ADO is preferable
•    Excellent communications and presentation skills with ability to adjust communication styles depending on type of target audience.
•    Ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders across different geographies.
•    Methodical, analytical and inquisitive.
•    Ability to work independently and with others.
•    Organisational with strong time-management skills.
