Job Summary
The role supports the timely and accurate forecasting of ~900 nostro accounts across 10 centers, spanning intragroup accounts, 3rd party agents and central banks (totaling ~$500bn in managed liquidity per day). This is done in close partnership with funding and trading desks across Treasury and FX and requires regular engagements with other teams across the bank. Finally, the role involves oversight for the bank’s throughput and intraday liquidity management at central banks. This footprint will expand as we onboard another 33 centers spanning ~1000 nostros and central banks.
Key Responsibilities
Support real time nostro management processes:
• Successful delivery of BAU functions aligned with daily forecasting, intraday liquidity (IDL) and cash management functions.
• Calculation and provision of funding forecasts to Treasury Markets and FX desks in line with agreed cutoffs on an intraday basis. Provision of root cause analysis on key funding drivers and forecast swings.
• Intraday liquidity monitoring and management of the firm’s central bank accounts
• Proactive management of payment scheduling systems to ensure the firm’s throughput requirements as well as time critical payments are met
• Reconciliation of forecasted vs actual nostro settlements in near real time, including exception management and manual adjustments.
• Communicate forecasts and related info to the Treasury and FX trading desks.
• Support / deliver strategies linked to forecasting, IDL, and nostro cost related optimization
• Partner with the TS MT to further enhance and build on the team’s Target Operating Model.
• Be a key business partner and support contact to Treasury Markets to ensure effective real time funding and liquidity management decision-making.
• Cash management processes to manage IDL and funding
• Real time forecasting and IDL related KRIs / dashboards for close monitoring and escalation on an intraday basis
• Provision of Nostro MI in terms of next day balance reporting / explanations, monthly cost management, balance trends / root causes
Risk Management
• Familiarize with Group Operational Risk, Group Money Laundering Prevention and other Policy and Procedures to the extent applicable.
• Actively assess risks and potential failure points in the processes handled and help highlight the areas to line managers and risk teams
• Comply with all applicable rules / regulations and Company & Group Policies.

Our Ideal Candidate
Experience:
• Minimum 3 year's relevant experience in any Banking operations
• Minimum 1 years’ experience of funding and liquidity management
• Prior experience in business facing support functions - particularly Treasury and/or FX is useful
• Prior experience in Payments, Settlements / Confirmations (Securities, FX, Rates etc.) is useful

• Knowledge in IDL and related areas - systems and processes linked to IDL management and optimization, peak usage, stress metrics and associated HQLA buffers
• Knowledge in front to back flows, particularly related to payments and settlements across asset classes is useful
• Good knowledge of MT / ISO payment and statement related messages (PACS, CAMT, MT9x, MT5x)
