Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy*
•    Address complex inquiries, perform investigative tasks, and execute comprehensive due diligence activities in response to client requests. 
•    Deliver thorough analyses of escalated issues when required and recommend appropriate actions for resolution. 
•    Engage in capacity planning to ascertain the daily production capacity necessary to accommodate the evolving demands of job allocation. 
•    Execute business plans, policies, and procedures that provide solutions and opportunities for cost savings. Review and allocate sufficient resources for operational continuity within the department. 
•    Develop and implement business initiatives, client solutions, or projects related to in-country operations. Suggest solutions for enhancing settlement processes, improving client services, or advancing overall technological capabilities.

Business*
•    Develop strong understanding of the bank’s global client base, including Global Corporates, institutional counterparties, and financial institutions
•    Engage confidently with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to resolve drafting breaks and economic disputes
•    Support new product rollouts and structured deal implementations by providing operational drafting insights
•    Demonstrate awareness of market conventions (ISDA, GMRA, commodity templates, structured note documentation standards)
•    Manage daily performance metrics associated with pre-settlement activities within operational processes
•    Collaborate with internal and external clients to evaluate service quality and identify opportunities for enhancement
•    Comfort working in agile or scrum project environment with cross-functional support between Technology   and Market Operations

Processes*
•    Draft and validate confirmations across OTC Derivatives, Commodities, and Structured Notes for global markets transactions.
•    Ensure contractual accuracy in economic terms, settlement mechanics, fallback language, and product-specific clauses.
•    Manage lifecycle events including amendments, novations, terminations, restructures, and rate resets.
•    Handle bespoke and hybrid structures with precision and strong documentation discipline.
•    Work closely with Front Office, Legal, Credit, and Settlements to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
•    Maintain high productivity and turnaround standards within defined SLAs.

Risk Management*
•    Apply strong maker-checker and four-eye control principles in all documentation outputs
•    Identify and escalate drafting inconsistencies, legal exposure risks, and settlement-impacting discrepancies
•    Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.
•    Participate in incident reviews and root cause analysis where documentation errors occur
•    Maintain strong data integrity and record-keeping standards

Governance*
•    Ensure that processes align with the established group standards. 
•    Review and verify adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and Key Risk Indicator (KRIs), without any breaches. 
•    Conduct a client profiling study and utilize client personas to enhance business opportunities.

 

 

The Ideal Candidate:

•    Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, Business Administration or related field
•    Min 5-7 years of relevant work experience
•    Proficiency in English (both written and spoken), 
•    Ability to speak additional languages such as Mandarin, Japanese, Vietnamese or other    foreign languages is an added advantage
•    Preferred mandatory experience in OTC, FX Options and rates confirmation drafting 
•    Flexibility in working hours- APAC (primary) to UK hours
