The Global Digital Sales team within the Wealth and Retail Banking division is dedicated to partnering seamlessly with country-specific, product, and technology teams to design and implement innovative programs, content, and customer experiences. These initiatives aim to elevate the acquisition and engagement of prospects and clients by leveraging the extensive suite of Standard Chartered’s digital assets. As a Creative Writer within this dynamic environment, you will have the unique opportunity to influence multi-market campaigns targeted at High Net-Worth customers, crafting compelling copy across diverse digital platforms. Your role will involve close collaboration with product teams, translating strategic marketing objectives into clear, engaging, and brand-consistent messaging that captures attention and inspires action.
This role requires a creative and strategic mindset, an ability to produce high-quality content efficiently, and a commitment to meeting tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be a versatile communicator, adept at adapting style and tone to suit different media and audiences, while maintaining alignment with the brand's voice and market objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead creative content development: Take full ownership of conceptualising, writing, and refining innovative and impactful copy that effectively communicates Standard Chartered’s brand values and product benefits across multiple markets.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Develop and nurture strong working relationships with product, marketing, and digital teams to ensure strategic alignment of creative outputs with business goals.
- Multi-platform content creation: Produce persuasive and tailored copy for diverse digital channels including social media, search engines, display banners, email campaigns, SMS alerts, and mobile push notifications, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone.
- Strategic briefing adherence: Thoroughly understand campaign strategies and briefs, guaranteeing all creative content meets specified objectives and supports broader marketing initiatives.
- Project management: Efficiently manage multiple campaigns and deadlines concurrently across different markets, demonstrating excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Production oversight: Oversee the full lifecycle of content production and post-production phases with minimal supervision, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure creative excellence.
- Presentation and feedback: Deliver compelling presentations to internal teams and partners, while actively participating in feedback sessions to continuously enhance creative output.
- Quality assurance and brand alignment: Vigilantly proofread and edit all materials to uphold high standards of quality and consistency with brand guidelines.
Skills and Experience
- Educational background: A bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline, providing a solid foundation in content creation and strategic communication.
- Bilingual proficiency: Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential to craft culturally relevant and linguistically precise advertising materials for diverse markets.
- Professional experience: At least three years of proven experience in copywriting, ideally within an advertising agency environment or an in-house marketing department, demonstrating ability to deliver impactful marketing messages.
- Track record of success: Demonstrable success in creating high-quality advertising and marketing copy that generates measurable business growth and engagement.
- Digital marketing expertise: Comprehensive understanding of digital marketing principles, channels, and techniques, enabling creation of optimised content for various online platforms.
- Exceptional writing skills: Strong command of writing, editing, and proofreading, ensuring error-free, engaging, and persuasive text.
- Project management: Capacity to independently manage competing priorities and multiple projects with efficiency and professionalism.
- Effective communicator: Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams, delivering successful campaigns.
- Adaptability: Ability to tailor writing style to suit varying target audiences, platform requirements, and campaign objectives.
