Job Summary

Strategy
•    Ensure appropriate recoverability planning and testing is in place along with Disaster Recovery best practices to mitigate the overall risk to SCB critical business operations
•    To lead the Disaster Recovery team on the strategy, planning, communication, implementation and execution of policies and procedures to mitigate the risk to SCB
•    Identify industry trends, processes, orchestration tools and methodologies pertaining to Disaster Recovery and establish a roadmap that drives innovation across SBC
•    Lead and collaborate with different departments, IT Resilience and Operational Risk Management to establish Disaster Recovery plans and procedures while ensuring they are successfully tested through disaster recovery tests.
•    Close Audit Observation issue; ensure compliance with SCB Risk Management framework
•    Provide guidance and advisory assistance to support teams for DR implementation to be in line with Bank’s DR policies and guidelines
•    Conduct post-DR Test debrief, DR post-mortem and prepare Management Report on DR test conducted
•    Prepare an annual test calendar and ensure all stakeholders are kept informed on the test schedule, upcoming tests / activities

Business
•    Execute defined test strategy and test plan;
•    Work with business / stakeholders to define requirements
•    Oversee DR test activities and manage resources;
•    Manage resources to ensure project delivery;
•    Ensure procedures / standards are properly applied;
•    Ensure audit trails are retained;
•    Host retrospective sessions and identify best practices and lessons learned
•    Collect and analyse measurement data

Processes
•    At least 7 years working experience in providing IT Disaster Recovery (DR) service from designated regional IT hub for organization with global presence
•    Well-verse with ITIL IT Service Continuity Management or equivalent concept but not limited to the following:  eg. DR Framework, DR Activation, DR Maintenance, DR Reinstatement etc
•    Strong organizational and project management skills
•    Strong analytical skills and able to pay close attention to complex detail, able to work well under fast-paced environment
•    Knowledge and experience in digitalization and automation of DR Process will be an advantage
•    Strong knowledge and understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and testing processes
•    Strong experience in executing Live DR Test

Risk Management
•    Compliance to audit requirement and responding to RFI pertaining Disaster Recovery tests documentation
•    Reporting to Operational Risk Management for unsuccessful DR completion status
•    Perparing data to the monthly M7 metrics
•    Raising of Problem Tickets where required for unsuccessful services and participate in the RCA calls
•    Raise conflicting priorities between DR and other program that will impace implementation of a DR test
•    Ensure deliverables are aligned to standards, processes and documented procedures

Governance*
•    Ensure all artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies (e.g., SCB Governance Standards)

Our Ideal Candidates should have:-

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a professional corporate environment having planned and executed Disaster Recovery test
  • The ability to work across domains, partner and coordinate with multiple stakeholders and be able to manage and navigate through ambiguity and organizational complexity
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT Disaster Recovery exercises
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking ability
  • Disaster Recovery certifications are desired but not mandatory

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION     BACHELORS DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE / INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
  • TRAINING     ITIL, PROJECT MANAGEMENT (I.E. PRINCE, PMP)
  • CERTIFICATIONS     ITIL FOUNDATION (GOOD TO HAVE), PMP (GOOD TO HAVE)
  • LANGUAGES     ENGLISH
