Title: Head - FSS Risk & Control Funds & Fiduciary

Job Summary
The role is responsible for the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks within the Funds & Fiduciary Products. The role requires collaboration with 1st line Group / Country and Functional Ops Lead, 2nd line RFO (Ops Risk, CFCC, etc) and 3rd line (GIA) as well as BRMs within FSS, Markets and CIB to ensure compliance with regulations and to implement effective risk management strategies. Strong interperonal and communication skills dealing with large group of stakeholders covering mutiple locations or markets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Risk Management
• To ensure procedures cover key risks and ongoing processes/production reviews with respect to the Group ORF framework.
• To ensure completion of KCSAs/CSTs of the unit within the prescribed timelines and be responsible for the analysis and resolutions of any exceptions raised.
• To carry out root cause analysis of errors and complaints and institute corrective and preventive actions.
• Co-ordinate, drive and direct effective compliance and operational risk management
• Work with Operations to design and implement controls to meet all regulatory and internal requirements
• Manage risk issues as they occur and coordinate communication, mitigation and face off to senior stakeholders
• Manage and influence direct/indirect operational risk management resources
• Have an in-depth knowledge of FSS products and processes and be in a position to advise on control strategy going forward
• Manage and co-ordinate the various regulatory and internal audits and reviews of the unit
• Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of elevated and horizon risks within business risk appetite, creating monitors and controls where appropriate balancing risks with commerciality, and ensuring the process and control framework efficiently matches those risks. (i.e. Event Incident Response Management, RCSA, ad hoc event, etc)
• Escalate any elevated risk to local NFRCs and FSS NFRC.
• Escalate any elevated risk to Country Executive Risk Committee where appropriate and Inform Global Markets BRMs where required
• Support service management activities eg. Intra Group Agreements (IGAs), Business Continuity Planning (BCP) / assessment, Third Party Contingency Plan (TPCP), Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), etc.
• Implementation of policies and procedures into BAU (FSS specific and firm-wide)
• Be the “connector” between global and local and importing / exporting best practices.
Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure adherence to local and extraterritorial regulations.
• Support local regulatory and internal audits and Compliance reviews.
People & Talent:
• Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
• Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
• Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles
• Review team structure/capacity plans.
• Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Regulatory & Business Conduct:

• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key stakeholders:
All first line control and process owners, All associated 2nd line RFOs and 3rd line of defence (GIA).
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience specific in Risk, Funds & Fiduciary roles (either or both)
- A good understanding on Data Analytics
- Good interpersonal skill for liaison with senior stakeholders, auditors, exchanges, depositories, and regulators
- Knowledge of financial markets and banking operations as well as internal accounting procedures
- Knowledge of Capital markets
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements governing the role
