Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Exhibit qualities which demonstrate the group’s strategy.
• To treat Customer’s with Human touch and understand the importance at every business stage and inculcate this aspect in reporting Staff.
• To support strategic intent, on the growth of business, cross functional advantage and work on cost efficiency.
Business
• To establish and maintain excellent working relationship with the stakeholders to ensure prompt and effective responses to the various business requirements, queries and requests from them.
• To be aware of the business targets and ensure compliance.
• To devote special care on Trade Data Quality aspects and ensure service delivery as agreed.
• To own end to end responsibility for implementation of DQ standards 2.0 for Trade business.
Processes
• Execute DQ actions to adhere to DQ standards & controls as per DQ policy/DOI.
• Perform and ensure Data Quality analysis for the controls being automated, validating the data with country business team and become champion to address the data issues.
• Protect data from unauthorized access, by ensuring that data is secure and meets privacy requirements.
• Compilation of data from different sources, ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and consistent across all systems.
• Assist in control gap analysis and recommend remediation for control gaps.
• Become a key contact person for all DQ related actions.
• Support adhoc request for data extract or queries from business stakeholder and other users.
• Provide support for all audits and assurance reviews.
• Ensure “First Time Right” in all the aspects
• Obtain system and process knowledge intelligence for data quality review and analysis
• Ensure and monitor the changes being implemented in production are not impacting the existing production countries.
People and Talent
• To ensure Staff in the team are being utilized to their optimum levels and derive maximum output. To ensure proper planning of Staffing for seamless service delivery.
• Highly motivated individuals with a strong track record of achievement, especially in Trade & Risk areas
• Change management /governance of programmes at country/regional/group level
• To ensure the motivation levels of the Staff is kept high always.
• To encourage Staff to participate in C3, CSR activities.
Risk Management
• Upholding the Values of the Group and Company at all times.
• Compliance with all applicable Rules/ Regulations and Company and Group Policies.
• To identify risk on a continual basis and derive mitigants on a sustained basis.
Governance
• Comply with Group Sanctions Policy and Procedures.
• Comply with Local Sanctions Policy and Procedures, if any.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This
includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Lead the Trade Operations Team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets;
Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key Stakeholders
• To effectively manage key stakeholders, Country Offices, Regulators, Superiors, Peers, Subordinates.
Other Responsibilities
• To encourage Continuous Improvement initiatives for simplifying of the processes, procedures applying LEAN techniques. Convert opportunities and derive/record tangible results.
• To encourage standardization opportunities.
• To actively participate in the C3 initiatives, lead by example to Staff.
• To enthusiastically participate in the Quality initiatives of the organization and achieve expected results at workplace.
Skills and Experience
• Trade Product Knowledge
• Data Quality & Governance expertise
• Ability to perform Risk and control gap analysis
• Ability to analyse large datasets and identify data anomalies, root cause issues and trends
Qualifications
• Academic Qualification: Bcom / MCom / MBA / BE with relevant experience of 10+ years
• Relevant Trade Certification such as CDCS, CSDG, CTF as applicable to the role.
• Understanding of data quality risks and impact.
• In depth core Trade system and interface knowledge.
• Knowledge about FCC risk (Transaction screening and AML) and Financial/Regulatory reporting
