Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Managed Investments team supporting Private Banking and Retail Banking investment products across multiple markets. Ensure accurate and timely execution of investment transactions, settlements, reconciliations, client servicing, and operational controls while maintaining compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and service level agreements.
Lead a team of operations specialists, drive process improvements, support change initiatives, manage operational risks, and act as the primary escalation point for complex operational issues. Partner closely with Front Office, Product, Technology, Operations Risk, Custody, Transfer Agents and other stakeholders to deliver efficient and controlled operational services.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Support implementation of the Managed Investments operational strategy and objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability and control effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process simplification and reduction of manual intervention.
• Support business growth by ensuring operational readiness for new products, fund houses, markets and service offerings.
• Contribute operational expertise to projects, system enhancements and change programmes.
Business
• Ensure smooth execution of daily operations covering mutual funds, hedge funds, alternative investments, money market funds and discretionary portfolio management products.
• Oversee transaction lifecycle activities including order placement, settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions, custody interactions and client account updates.
• Monitor operational KPIs, service standards and productivity metrics.
• Ensure adherence to market cut-off times and service level commitments.
• Act as escalation point for operational exceptions, client issues and transaction breaks.
• Support country and regional stakeholders in delivering operational excellence and client outcomes.
• Build effective working relationships with Front Office, Product, Operations, Technology and external service providers.
Processes
• Manage end-to-end operational processes across investment products and platforms.
• Ensure timely processing of subscriptions, redemptions, switches, transfers and capital call transactions.
• Oversee daily controls including trade validations, settlement monitoring, reconciliation reviews and exception management.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of operating procedures, desk instructions and process documentation.
• Monitor system workflows across T24, CAP, TAP, MF Dashboard, Vestima and other supporting platforms.
• Drive root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
• Support user acceptance testing, system implementation and operational change management activities.
• Ensure operational incidents, process breaks and service issues are appropriately investigated and resolved.

• Support risk assessments, control testing and audit activities.
• Monitor key risk indicators and control effectiveness.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational risk events.
Governance
• Ensure compliance with all applicable internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and evidence.
• Maintain accurate operational records, approvals and audit trails.
• Participate in governance forums, operational review meetings and control discussions.
• Ensure procedures and controls remain current and aligned with business requirements.
• Escalate significant operational, regulatory or control concerns to senior management.

Experiences & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree In Business, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics or any related field.
• Candidates with more than 5 years of experience in Retail Banking And Wealth Management Operations with settlement operation knowledge is preferred.
• Demonstrate leadership experience, including the ability to motivate and guide teams, make informed decisions, and drive results in a collaborative and professional manner
• Good understanding of investment products including Mutual Funds, Hedge Funds, Alternative Investments and Money Market Funds.
• Knowledge of Systems And Platform Training Relevant To Transaction Processing And Reconciliation (E.G. Core Banking, Custody, And Settlement Systems).
• Relevant Operations, Risk Or Banking Certifications will be an added advantage such as CFA, CISI, FRM or equivalent are advantageous.
