Job Summary

We are a global operations team supporting the financial markets business by providing operations solutions
in foreign exchange, rates, commodities, credit markets, and financing and securities services. We operate in
40 countries and employ some 3000 colleagues globally. Our mission is to support financial markets to
increase return on tangible equity for our shareholders safely, sustainably, and securely.

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

•Solve complex inquiries, conduct discovery and complete due diligence activities for client requests
•Provide detailed analysis of escalated issues when necessary and recommend actions for resolution
•Involve in capacity planning of determine the production capacity needed in a day to meet the changing demands of job allocation
•Implement business plans, policies, and procedures that offer solutions and cost saving opportunities
•Organizes leave coverage to ensure adequate resources for work continuity in dept.
•Develop and implement business initiatives, client solutions, or projects affiliated with in-country
•Propose solutions to implement settlement process improvements, client service enhancements, or overall technology enhancements

Business
•Meeting processing standards and expectations for FXMM operations team
•Manage one or multiple processes and in addition to selected projects 
•To maintain good business relationship with business stakeholder
•Taking the lead in resolving confirmation/settlement related issues. 
•Constant review of DOI to ensure updating of process procedures.
•Manage daily performance related to pre-settlement activities of operations processes
•Coordinate with internal and external clients to assess service quality and identify areas for improvement 

Processes
•    Delivering foreign exchange and Derivatives settlement in a timely and efficient manner. 
•    Capable of articulating the various products and end-to-end operational processes for foreign exchange and derivative instruments
•    Ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicator (KRIs), and service level agreements (SLAs) are met. 
•    Ensure that reconciliation discrepancies can be identified and resolved in a timely manner.
•    Ensure prompt resolution of internal and external customer inquiries.
•    SQL coding for querying, analysing, and managing financial data and reporting
•    Working Knowledge of UNIX/Linux-based systems for scripting and automation
•    In-depth functional and technical knowledge with Murex 3.1 front-to-back modules
•    MXML workflow designing and debugging.
•    Hands-on experience of BLADE and STELLA application, familiarity with SQL, Oracle connected
•    Experience working with ADO and confluence for issue tracking and documentation.

Risk Management
•Constant review of DOI to ensure updating of process procedures
•Identify errors and omissions resulting from routine process actions and able to investigate & promptly resolve GL Suspense and Nostro accounts’ imbalances & breaks.
•Target to decrease processing errors, both internal and external
•Ensure audit and risk control measures for BAU procedures and processes are adhered to.
•To ensure processes in compliance to the group standard
•Report any suspicious trades in accordance to the Anti-Money Laundering Policy
•Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding SCB group, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

•    Degree or Diploma or equivalent. 
•    Minimum 5 years relevant experience in financial markets banking operations
•    SQL coding for querying, analysing and managing financial data and reporting
•    Working Knowledge of UNIX/Linux-based systems for scripting and automation
•    In-depth understanding of functional and technical knowledge with Murex 3.1 front-to-back modules
•    MXML workflow designing and debugging
