Job Summary
• Ensures the effective management of release & their interdependencies.
• Orchestrates the completion of technology controls related to the releases.
Strategy
• Develop delivery and release plans with technical dependencies, aligning all partners with support from the team and architect.
• Negotiate, plan and manage all portfolio release activities and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
Business
• Own, coordinate and monitor product delivery involving multiple squads and interfaces.
• Own release planning activities inclusive of creating the change implementation plan, coordinating with vendors and all teams involved for alignment/seeking commitments to the plans, ESDLC process, raising change tickets, running UVT and seeking sign offs for all concerned parties.
• Orchestrate deployments, issue resolution, and sign-offs in partnership with the IT engineers.
• Drafting and circulating clear communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed of the upcoming changes, progress and adjustments to the timelines or implementation plans.
Key Responsibilities
Processes
• Review and assess release and path to production processes for improvement opportunities (e.g. simplification or automation).
• Measure, monitor & publish metrics to establish maturity model of release management function.
• Responsible for timely delivery of Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
• Responsible for Go-Live activities including execution of deployment plans & publish lessons learnt.
• Establish a process for collating, prioritizing & deployment for all hot fixes & Change Requests via adhoc releases.
People & Talent
• Assist team members to increase overall quality & productivity of team.
• Backed up each other in the event of the others not available for certain task
• Coach new/existing team members on release management flow, domain knowledge and bank’s standard and procedures
Risk Management
• Ensure effective risk management with regards to releases.
Governance
• Ensure releases adhere to Change Delivery Standards, ITSM and ESDLC.
• Own and address tech compliance (ESDLC) requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle (design reviews, security reviews, SAT, OAT, etc.) with support from PO/Chief PO/Hive Tech Lead.
• Ensure all release artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies.
• Govern hygiene of releases & manage relevant communication of release schedules.
Skills and Experience
- Manage stakeholders on change request management.
- Manage integration/communication in between SCB and stakeholders for releases.
- Manage post deployment of application to perform sanity verification on the change done.
- Production roll out preparation covering Change Request processes.
- Post production release support with management of stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree holder Major in Information System Engineering with minimum 15 to 20 years of software release experienced.
- Experienced with Azure development environment.
- Experienced with Azure DevOps services including pipeline creation.
- Experience in implementation with 2-3 full lifecycle delivery
- Strong understanding of system implementation, integration & IT dependencies
- Agile experience or exposure.
- Effective interpersonal, communication skills to articulate at different levels of organization hierarchy
- Creative mind – be able to suggest ideas and drive innovation.
- Good communication skills – oral and written.
- Strong organizational, time management and administration skills.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
