Job Summary
About the Role
This role is responsible for optimising end-to-end web growth and acquisition funnel for Standard Chartered's public and digital properties, across all WRB markets, with a dual mandate: grow qualified website traffic through organic channels, and convert that traffic into funded, new-to-bank customers. The Senior Product Owner runs Web Optimisation, CRO, and Organic Growth as a single connected discipline; combining rigorous Adobe Analytics-driven diagnosis, structured hypothesis generation across experience, journey, and content, hands-on design sense, AI-assisted rapid prototyping, and personalisation/retargeting to compound growth and conversion gains quarter over quarter, on both web and mobile web.
• Own the web growth and conversion roadmap end to end; organic traffic acquisition, landing, onboarding, and account funding; across desktop web and mobile web, for all WRB markets.
• Drive organic growth: SEO/content strategy, site structure, and discoverability improvements that increase qualified traffic ahead of the conversion funnel.
• Use Adobe Analytics (Analysis Workspace, segments, fallout/flow reports, attribution) to identify statistically meaningful friction points and quantify their revenue and traffic impact.
• Generate, prioritise, and document testable hypotheses across three layers; experience (UX/UI), journey (flow and sequencing), and content (messaging, creative, copy); using a structured framework (problem -> insight -> hypothesis -> expected impact -> test design).
• Design and run A/B and multivariate tests end-to-end: hypothesis, build brief, QA, launch, statistical read-out, and decision (ship/kill/iterate).
• Bring design sense directly into the process; sketch, wireframe, or rapid-prototype experiment variants personally using AI-assisted design tools, rather than relying solely on a design queue.
• Own retargeting and personalisation: build and test personalised journeys and audiences using Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Apply AI tools across the full workflow; analytics summarisation, hypothesis ideation, rapid prototyping, copy/creative variant generation, test-result interpretation; to increase experimentation velocity without sacrificing rigour.
• Build and maintain a CRO knowledge base: what has been tested, what won, what lost, and why; preventing repeat testing and institutional memory loss across markets.
• Report funnel, traffic, and experiment performance to senior stakeholders (Head of Digital Acquisition, Global Head of Affluent/Digital) in commercial terms; traffic growth, NTB volume, funding rate, cost per funded account.
• Ensure all experimentation and personalisation is compliant with SC's risk, brand, and regulatory standards across all markets.
Core responsibilities
• Grow the global organic traffic target for sc.com and SC Mobile across key markets. Grow qualified organic sessions to priority products and journeys.
• Define and run the AI-search visibility programme (GEO/AEO): entity definition, answer-first structures within compliance limits, citable-source strategy. Measure AI share-of-voice, not only rankings. Cover Western engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) and Chinese engines (Ernie, Doubao) in-market.
• Set and enforce the global technical-SEO standard - crawl and index health, Core Web Vitals, mobile rendering, structured data. Prioritise fixes with engineering.
• Own the global schema and structured-data framework for web and app, serving both rich results and AI machine-readability.
• Own ASO standards for SC Mobile across the app stores: metadata, keywords, listing conversion, review velocity. (China runs on Android and local stores, not Play Store.)
• Set the global content and E-E-A-T standard for YMYL financial content. Produce flagship content hands-on; in-country executes the rest.
• Build and own the measurement layer: organic analytics, AI share-of-voice tracking, per-market scorecards.
• Build AI-first workflows that make a five-market remit run on lean headcount - automated audits, schema generation, content briefing, AI-visibility monitoring, localisation at scale.
• Run the hybrid delivery model: own standards in-house and execute through a mix of in-house resource and specialist agencies, including a China-market agency. Set scope, standards and QA.
• Orchestrate across in-country marketing, content, product, engineering and compliance; drive adoption in markets that do not report to the squad.
Experiences, Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science or any related field.
• Candidate with more than 7 years experience in a Senior Product Owner, CRO, or Growth Lead role with direct, hands-on ownership of a web or app conversion funnel; banking, fintech, e-commerce, or high-consideration digital sales preferred.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to support WRB driven intiative for specific market
• Expert-level fluency in Adobe Analytics; able to build custom segments, fallout and flow reports, calculated metrics, and attribution models without analyst support.
• Expert in Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM); able to design, build, and launch personalised and retargeted journeys directly.
• Excellent design sense with the ability to contribute directly to experience design; wireframing, prototyping, and evaluating UI/UX quality, not just briefing designers.
• Practical, hands-on experience using AI tools for rapid prototyping; turning a hypothesis into a testable design or content variant in hours, not sprint cycles.
• Deep hypothesis-generation capability across experience, journey, and content; with a track record of tests and quantifiable uplift across all three.
• Good organic growth background; SEO, content strategy, and site architecture decisions that move traffic, not just conversion.
• Expert understanding of core web concepts; page performance, tagging (Adobe Launch/DTM), responsive/mobile web behaviour, and how the web stack constrains or enables experimentation and personalisation.
• Able to work across both web and mobile app contexts, understanding how journeys hand off between the two.
• Experience in a regulated, multi-market environment is an advantage; banking/wealth acquisition funnel experience is a strong plus.
Core Skills
• GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
• AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
• SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
• Analytics
• CMS (Content Management System)
• Agile
• User experience
• Microsoft 365
KPIs:
• Sustained growth in organic website traffic and qualified reach, alongside improved NTB conversion rate from that traffic to funded account.
• A live, prioritised experimentation backlog (ICE/PIE-scored) spanning experience, journey, and content hypotheses, with a predictable weekly or bi-weekly test cadence.
• Funnel drop-off points identified and closed through data, not opinion; every major change traceable to an Adobe Analytics finding or test result.
• Personalised, retargeted journeys live in production via Adobe Target/AEP, measurably outperforming static control experiences.
• Design-led experiment variants prototyped and validated with AI tools in days, not sprints.
• A reusable hypothesis and experiment-design framework the wider Digital Acquisition hive can adopt across markets.
