Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Owner to join our team, to enable hybrid advisory sales and servicing for our Affluent segment clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, with specific experience in delivering project digital channels / platforms. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, customer support, and vendors / partners to ensure that hybrid advisory channel meet the needs of our users and drive business growth. 

Strategy

-    The PO is responsible for owning the product journey, vision across the entire product life cycle, from inception, validation, build, delivery, run & iteration.
-    Maintain a commercial lens over the product, understand and communicate with relevant stakeholders on the commercial performance metrics and viability of products.
-    Accountable for creating a transparent, clear and easy to understand product vision. 
-    Own the ‘WHY’ and ensure all members of the squad understand and embrace the vision & mission. The why should be closely aligned to the organisations over all goals and ambitions. 
-    Inspire the squad to continuously thrive in a growth mindset
-    Set goals for the squad and create actions plans to target
-    Coach & mentor squad members to continuously uplift capability  
-    Own, maintain & constantly optimize the product roadmap & product backlog  
-    Foster a culture based on trust, psychological safety & collaboration 
-    Accountable for ensuring compliance and risk adherence of products and services, engage with stakeholders to ensure necessary controls are adhered to and approvals are obtained.

Key Responsibilities

Business

Product Discovery & Experimentation
-    Lead and embed a culture of evidence-based decision making.
-    Conduct regular design sprints to fill the product backlog with customer validated and business viable features & initiatives. 
-    Leverage design thinking and customer jobs-to-be-done frameworks to synthesize and identify themes or opportunities
-    Conduct customer interviews to capture customer voice and verbatim feedback 
-    Produce lo-fi prototypes and conduct usability studies to find resonance with customers.
-    Utilize a discovery canvas to bring discovery storytelling to life within a standardized structure 
-    Embed an MVP culture into the organization, consider how might we test and learn with minimal investment and development
-    Conduct technical discovery studies to leverage existing investments & where necessary build out technical solutions that are complementary, scalable & cost efficient

Product Delivery & Execution
-    Leverage to enterprise tools like ADO to manage the sprint and overall product delivery 
-    Align with technology architects on the target solution design to minimize technical debt.
-    Lead the squad in defining the functional requirements and non-functional requirements like API response and over all performance.
-    Conduct pre go-live demo’s for stakeholders and align necessary support functions to ensure a smooth transition and go-live 
-    Conduct regular retrospective and review sessions to embed a growth mindset where the squad is constantly looking for ways to improve the way we deliver products. Take learnings and share with the wider PO community.
-    Manage a well articulated, communicated and rationalized backlog with adequate funding and commercial support to ensure on going growth.

Product Analytics
-    Clearly align squad OKRs & KPIs with stakeholder and senior management, ensure these objectives and targets are well understood and aligned to the nature of your product.
-    Communicate and embed the OKRs and KPIs into every aspect of the product life cycle.
-    Identify and map the data sources required to validate and measure the performance of the features
-    Perform post implementation review with squad, define measurement windows and prepare necessary data & metrics.
-    Ensure the data is made available for analytics through collaboration with analytics & data technology teams. 
-    Instrument customer journeys to obtain usability metrics and customer behaviors 
-    Continuously monitor dashboards and reports to feed product discovery sprints

Skills and Experience

Technical Capabilities & Excellence  
-    Partner with technology architects to align to the organization’s overall technology direction and standards.
-    Attend the ARF and bring key decisions for consensus building and approval
-    Build, maintain and grow a knowledge base of technical decisions, definitions and designs.
-    Guide and ensure the squad is adopting the approved tools and ways of working in their day to day activities.
-    Drive an accountable and sensible technical direction to build reusable, scalable and interoperable solutions that integrate with existing investments.
-    Build alignment across the tech community to ensure capabilities are developed with a future proof focus.
-    Ensure squad members adhere strictly to DOR (requirements, dependencies, environments, tools & artifacts) and DOD (functional, non-functional & security tests) requirements and deliver outcomes with quality at the core.
-    Adopt agile processes to line up and delivery the backlog, identify dependencies in the planning phase and secure contracts ahead of development as part of technical DOR.
-    Manage feature release activities along with the organizations SDLC processes.

Processes
-    Ensure agile delivery and maintenance of hybrid journey platforms (e.g. myRM) are adhering to Group and country requirements with sign off from impacted process owners

People & Talent
-    Lead the squad members to achieve the optimal potential, identifying performers and underperformers, motivating and mentoring the squad

Risk Management
-    Be the 1st line of defense by having a 360 degree view on all initiatives and strike a right balance of client experience and risk mitigation adhering to bank standards.

Governance
-    Lead the governance agenda for all deliveries for the squad incl. developing Change Risk Assessment (CRA) documentation, maintaining financials in clarity systems, etc

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, with specific experience in delivering project digital channels / platforms.
  • This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, customer support, and vendors / partners to ensure that hybrid advisory channel meet the needs of our users and drive business growth.
  • Candidate should have Minimum Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of experience in financial service domain and digital channels.
  • Candidate should extensive Experience working in an Agile Environment and proficient in agile tools like ADO, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Candidates with PO CERTIFICATION will be value added.
  • Excellent communication skills and learning mindset with ability to work with multiple projects at the same time.
