Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Experience Designer, your key responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of user experience design, including:

  • Take ownership of the complete user journey by designing user-friendly, visually compelling UI elements and interaction flows that align with customer needs and business goals.
  • Create detailed full-screen mockups, interactive prototypes, wireframes, and user journeys that effectively communicate design intent to stakeholders across various teams.
  • Proactively test and iterate on design solutions using user feedback and usability testing to continuously improve the digital customer experience.
  • Establish and nurture strong partnerships with technology, product management, and customer experience teams to ensure cohesive and aligned project delivery.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize user and business requirements to inform and drive design decisions that enhance functionality and customer satisfaction.
  • Advocate the principles of user-centered design throughout the organization, contributing to a culture that prioritizes customer needs and optimizes digital experiences.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and research industry best practices worldwide, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in UI design.
  • Stay thoroughly updated on emerging UI design trends, responsive interfaces, and technology advancements, applying insights to elevate Standard Chartered's design standards.

 

Skills and Experience

Candidates should possess:

  • A strong command of design software, with Figma as the primary tool for creating interactive designs. Familiarity with animation and prototyping tools such as Adobe After Effects, Framer, Lottielab, Protopie, and Rive is advantageous though not mandatory.
  • An academic background in graphic design, visual design, advertising, or a closely related field, reflected by a relevant degree or graduate diploma.
  • At least seven years' experience working in a creative and fast-paced environment such as an Advertising Agency, Brand Consultancy, or an in-house Design Studio with a proven ability to deliver impactful design solutions.
  • An impressive portfolio showcasing a breadth of UX design methodologies, conceptual artworks, animations, and case studies that demonstrate tangible product improvements or measurable return on investment for clients.
  • Expertise in UI design concepts, particularly with experience designing scalable system architectures and frameworks compatible across multiple platforms including iOS, Android, and Mobile Web.
  • A solid foundation in UX principles, including User-Centered Design, Interaction Design, and Responsive Design strategies.
  • A meticulous approach to design detail, capable of maintaining high quality under tight timelines and evolving project requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, team orientation, and unwavering dedication to maintaining high standards of design excellence.
  • Proven capability to advocate for UX design choices and influence stakeholders through compelling communication and presentations in English.

  • Deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors to tailor digital experiences effectively.
  • Strong customer and market focus to anticipate evolving preferences and trends within the financial services landscape.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking products to align user interfaces with product functionalities and compliance standards.
  • Expertise in mobile banking platforms and their unique design challenges and opportunities.
  • Competence in internet banking technologies and user interaction patterns to ensure seamless online banking experiences.
