Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    Support Data Quality governance for Transaction Banking Cash, ensuring data integrity, effective controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements to minimise residual risk, including Data Privacy and Records Management.
•    Work closely with business, technology, and risk teams to implement DQ standards, enhance processes, and support delivery of data-related regulatory and control initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•    Data Quality & Risk Management - Manage residual risk and treatment plans for Data Quality, including:
•    Partner with 2LOD to define and implement risk treatment plans and escalate material risks and delays impacting agreed glidepaths
•    Drive Data Quality Management Standards (DQMS) implementation across TB Cash, aligned to Risk Recognition Methodology
•    Embed DQ by Design and Demand Management principles within the change lifecycle
•    Transition from qualitative to quantitative DQ metrics, including MDM adoption and technology enablement for BCBS239
•    Establish and manage Data Quality Incident Management (IMR), including root cause analysis and remediation tracking
•    Oversee DQ exception management, ADO tracking, and closure of control gaps
•    Review control effectiveness (KCI/CST) and drive simplification and standardisation
•    Lead Critical Data Elements (CDE) governance, working with FCSO and 2LOD on identification and controls
•    Ensure MDM (metadata) remediation and backlog management in line with DQMS & SLA governance for legacy platforms.
•    Govern Data Handshakes across upstream and downstream processes with clear accountability
•    Regulatory & Risk Programmes - Support and drive compliance for key regulatory programmes: such as BCBS239 (self-assessment and remediation) & MLR40 (data retention and purging)
•    Records Management & Data privacy - Conduct records keeping impact assessments and ensure compliance with internal and external standards
Strategy
•    Collaborate with Cash Technology, TB, and CIB CDO to uplift DQ controls and capabilities
•    Support delivery of strategic and regulatory programmes

Business
•    Partner with Product, Operations, and Technology to:      
•    Ensure Data Quality, Data Privacy, and Records Management risks are identified and managed for new or changed products
•    Embed CDE governance, DQ controls, and regulatory requirements across Cash platforms
•    Drive improved process efficiency, control effectiveness, and risk reduction across Cash operations
People & Talent
•    Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Sets appropriate tone and expectations for the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners 
Risk Management & Governance
•    Support RCSA assessments across DQ, Data Privacy, and Records Management
•    Lead Monthly DQ risk reporting, Quarterly & Annual ORF submissions
•    Maintain audit readiness (GIA/regulatory reviews),DQ DOI documentation, and ICP preparation and issue closure
•    Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated through the relevant committees in line with the banks policies
•    Work with the relevant the BRM team to develop, design and implement control measures and monitoring plans for compliance and operational risk management. Ensure that material risks that are brought to stakeholders’ attention which affect business processes and critical systems and projects are monitored, managed (to minimise loss and risk), and escalated accordingly

•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

•    Promote the Group’s brand and Here for good with employees, clients and regulators.

Skills and Experience

•    5+ years relevant experience and knowledge of Cash products and processes with a broad understanding of Cash business
•    Knowledge of the Global regulatory environment and the ongoing developments
•    Comprehensive knowledge of risk governance frameworks & quality framework and processes
•    Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
•    Proactive and positive with the ability to make good/sound decisions and use independent judgement
•    Ability to create effective work relationships across functions & borders

Qualifications

•    Knowledge of Cash products, ISO20022 and processes with a broad understanding of Cash business
•    Knowledge of the Global regulatory environment and the ongoing developments
•    Comprehensive knowledge of risk governance frameworks & quality framework and processes
•    Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
•    Proactive and positive with the ability to make good/sound decisions and use independent judgement
•    Proven ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
