Job Summary

Data Quality (DQ) Analysts are responsible for ensuring the overall health of the data ecosystem and the quality of data within it. Through their in-depth understanding of the data and requirements of downstream consumers, they define (and constantly refine) data quality controls and reports. DQ Analysts track and manage DQ issues and work to prevent them from impacting day to day activities more than necessary. They will work closely with:

•    FCC Data Managers, who define the team's business requirements, objectives, strategy and priorities

•    FCC Data Analysts, who help to define solutions to DQ issues if they arise due to internal logic limitations

•    FCC Data Engineers, who design and implement the required data quality controls

•    Downstream Process Owners, who must be aware of and understand any data quality issues

•    Upstream data teams, who may need to take remedial action to solve data quality issues within their datasets / processes

DQ Analysts review the output of controls on a day to day basis and must respond quickly and appropriately to any issues that arise. Having identified an issue, they will engage the necessary stakeholders to manage the impact and define a path to resolution. DQ Analysts should have a careful attention to detail, but also be able to think strategically about the impact of any failures and make recommendations about the best course of action.
