Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    The Senior Associate is required to contribute to requirement gathering, responsible for solution discussion, contribute to solution designs (functional and technical), developing, testing, and documenting project changes for Credit Card systems following Agile SDF process. The candidate will also require to handle project delivery. 

•    Besides that, successful applicant is also required to: 
    •    Possess self-initiatives and able to work under minimal supervision, analytical mindset and able to provide solution based on system analysis. 
    •    Able to meet and comply to System Development Framework (SDF), Quality Management Framework (QMF) or Disciplined Agile Delivery, and Risk Mitigation framework which includes ensuring process, security, regulatory, and audit requirements are met.
    •    Possess Agile and Scrum knowledge and able to work in Scrum team (squad).
    •    At least 10 – 12 years working experience in AS400 platform, RPG, CL, PL/SQL, Control-M.
    •    Possess 5 – 6 years Java, Maven, Git, ADO DevOps skillset. 
    •    Able to review junior’s code and guide junior. 
    •    Possess credit card domain knowledge, card issuing processing and standards, credit card management lifecycle, fulfilment, knowledge on ISO8583 messaging standard protocols.
    •    Ability to Identify and manage risks, including developing contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
    •    Knowledge on ENTRACARD basic functions. Hand on experience with VISA, MasterCard Card, or other national card schemes Issuing, Scheme compliance requirement, have knowledge on national schemes and processor integrations, scheme simulator usage.
    •    Knowledge about API’s (SOAP, JSON, REST, etc) and Web Service Integration is an added advantage.
    •    Knowledge about HSM protocols and configuration, Knowledge about encryption Keys/Cryptography both symmetric and asymmetric keys, 3DES, AES, SM4, SHA.
    •    Familiarity with EMV technologies and standards, and PCI DSS and PA DSS standards, Contact and Contactless technologies, Familiarity with 3DS and Tokenization standards.
    •    Experience on Google Pay/Samsung Pay/Apple Pay Wallets and QR Code and Emerging payments will be an added Advantage.
    •    Knowledge in Service Now, software lifecycle management tool (e.g.: Thenon, Aldon) is an added advantage.
    •    Must be adaptive and welcoming constant changes.

Key Responsibilities

•    Actively lead and perform credit card system development to achieve most optimal client business and people outcomes. 
•    Understand business idea, clarify primary purposes of the future product or product feature changes. Evaluate the most relevant means of implementation, which will be the most convenient for both stakeholders and developers.
•    Assist in development activities planning along with Chapter Lead, establish primary engineering best practices, shape development and platform direction, via achieving Chapter Goals set by Chapter Lead and Chapter Area Lead. 
•    Discuss in detailed with Chapter Lead and Engineering Lead, validate business requirement and solution design before start coding, assures compliance of the development outcomes with a customer’s business goals. Ensure both sides on the same page and everything goes in the right direction, in terms of solution design, business outcomes, platform stability and scalability.
•    Get feedback from stakeholders (Chapter Lead, junior engineers, Engineering Lead) and ensures platform (in this case is CARD-400 system) improvements according to the obtained info.
•    Delivered projects within the banks project management framework, within timeline within budget. Emphasis on project quality to ensure no incident created from project implementation. Plan small or incremental releases of the software while delivering new features to market faster (speed to market) where necessary. 
•    Ensure scalability and minimization of technical debt on Platform. 
•    Aligned to the Chapter Goal and T&O strategy.
•    Code / develop system technical to growth balances, help business to growth revenue and ensure platform stability with no/minimal incident in live environment.
•    Transform or modernize current platform legacy code or design.

•    Deliver key business initiative, be it in-country, regional, group, Global initiatives, or regulatory.
•    Provide coding solution that will achieve speed to market as well as production system stability. 
•    Proactively identify and implement operational effectiveness improvements 
•    Collaborate with stakeholders (product team, interface teams, business team, operation team, production engineering team) to fix urgent issue logged are being addressed and provide ongoing feedback on challenges, successes and best practices.
•    Ensure CARD-400 system parameters are maintained in a timely and accurate manner and are proactively review parameter change request on an ongoing basis.
•    Actively initiating and leading system/platform modernization and move away from legacy coding and mitigate system obsolesces (in this case is CARD-400).
•    Escalate, mitigate and resolve any risk, conduct and compliance issues noticed throughout the project development lifecycle. 
•    Comply with risk and regulatory requirement of the serving country.

•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role. 
•    Capability to challenge / manage stakeholders accordingly in case of any non-compliance noticed. 
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. •    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
•    Collaborate with Credit Card product team of United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam, Kenya, Nigeria, Botswana, Ghana, Zambia, Jersey.
•    Collaborate closely with Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) Credit Card team (such as Engineering team, Domain Tech Lead’s team, architecture team).
•    Collaborate closely with Credit Card Operation team, Credit Card product team (product managers), C400 parameter team (code & setup team), Credit Card Group Business, Technology & Innovation Leadership team – Country, Regional, Global.
•    Collaborate closely with Key interface teams of Credit Card Systems such as i-Banking, SMS Banking, e-Statement team, RTOB team, PSGL team, CACS team, EDMP team, MIREV team, Rewards Engine team, etc.
•    Adhere to all Bank’s guidelines policies.
