The Portfolio Support Lead will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of the Property & Procurement Portfolio to deliver a diverse set of transformation and optimisation programmes. The individual will act as a trusted deputy, ensuring programme standards are upheld, portfolio governance is effectively managed, and delivery risks are surfaced and addressed.
This role requires someone who can move seamlessly between high-level coordination and hands-on problem solving—able to prepare executive-ready materials for senior governance forums while also rolling up their sleeves to understand root causes of delivery challenges and drive resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Good understanding of the Bank’s vision and strategy appropriate to the role
• Thorough understanding of the Bank Change Management framework and the key focus areas
• Understanding of SCM, Finance and the organizational structure of the bank would be beneficial
Business
• Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
Processes
• Prepare, coordinate and quality-assure materials for Portfolio Working Group (PWG), Programme Steering Group (PgSG), and other senior governance forums with the support of the Portfolio PMO and Initiative Owners as required.
• Provide well-structured briefing materials, talking points, and recommendations for decision-making forums.
• Track follow-ups and action items, ensuring accountability across programme teams.
• Identifying, defining, developing, and implementing improvements to Portfolio reporting and monitoring processes.
• Support the Portfolio Manager in coordinating a comprehensive Portfolio-wide communication plan, encompassing stakeholder engagement, briefings, and updates.
• Identify and deliver actions to improve the quality of deliverables based on monitoring and reporting activities and management information.
• Partner with the Portfolio PMO to support programme managers in applying best practice methodologies, aligning to enterprise PMO frameworks, through the delivery of training sessions, FAQs, etc.
• Step in to provide hands-on support for priority programmes facing delivery challenges.
• Stakeholder Management - establish working relationships with key stakeholder across the portfolio.
• Upkeep of Portfolio document repository and artifacts.
• Promote a culture of honest feedback through retrospectives and strong collaboration among team members.
• Develop a strong understanding on Change Governance Policy and Change Management Standards as relates to the FFG parameters through active partnership with the FFG Control Tower and other senior stakeholders.
Risk Management
• Monitor and escalate the risks relating to delivery of the Procurement and Property FFG transversal stream.
• Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role.
• Understand and comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Groups policies, procedures and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Contribute to a culture in which all stakeholders feel safe to raise concerns and where risk and compliance matters are addressed and misconduct appropriately dealt with.

Skills and Experience
• 10+ years experience in project management in a financial institution setup
• Strong understanding of project and programme management frameworks, governance, and reporting.
• Proven ability to prepare high-quality senior management packs and present complex information concisely.
• Hands-on problem-solving skills with experience investigating delivery issues and driving resolutions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project performance, adept at accurately summarizing, categorising, spotting trends in numbers.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse groups.
• High levels of personal accountability and proactive initiative taking, together with a pragmatic, customer-focused approach.
• Exposure to property, procurement, or operations-related change programmes desirable but not essential.
