Based in Dubai, this full-time office-based role involves fostering strong and sustainable relationships with customers and business partners and executing effective sales strategies aligned with the goals of the country-wide Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) division.

The role requires a blend of strategic insight, customer centricity, and hands-on business development expertise. You will lead efforts to deepen customer engagement through need-based selling while achieving sales targets, onboarding new clients, and maximising cross-sell opportunities across asset, liability, and wealth solutions.

By leveraging market insights and collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders—including mortgage brokers, developers, and government offices—you will help shape competitive offerings and deliver exceptional value to our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strict adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements and compliance standards, ensuring all mortgage sales and processing activities meet Bank and regulatory expectations.
  • Implement robust operational risk controls, supporting the monitoring and mitigation of risks related to mortgage applications, approvals and processing.
  • Ensure the highest quality in mortgage application handling to minimise errors and rework, coordinating efficiently between frontline sales and back-office processing teams.
  • Foster a culture of transparency and collaboration across teams, promoting clear communication and escalation protocols.
  • Diligently conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Monitoring of Legal Persons (MLP) and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles to uphold integrity and compliance.
  • Zero tolerance approach towards fraud and mis-selling; actively supporting internal and external audits including Regulatory reviews and Group Internal Audits.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to develop and maintain relevant banking knowledge and competencies, staying current on market developments and regulatory changes.
  • Provide actionable feedback to product teams based on market and competitor insights, assisting in the refinement of promotional campaigns and product enhancements.
  • Build and sustain strategic relationships with key external business partners including mortgage brokers, real estate developers, broker associations and government registration officers to facilitate seamless business development and customer onboarding.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic thinking with practical business development, supporting both customer satisfaction and business growth. You will be empowered to contribute meaningfully to the future success of mortgage products within a leading international banking group.

Skills and Experience

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in Asset and Liability Management (ALM), with a strong understanding of how mortgage products impact both sides of the balance sheet.
  • Client Relationship Management expertise, able to nurture and deepen relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading digital transformation initiatives relevant to financial services, particularly mortgage sales and servicing.
  • Sound knowledge of Financial Risk Management practices and regulatory environments affecting the mortgage and broader banking sectors.
  • Strong tactical and strategic planning skills to develop and execute initiatives that align with business goals.
  • Ability to interpret market trends and competitive intelligence to drive proactive business development strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across multiple functions and with external partners.

  • Minimum of three years' proven experience in sales within the financial sector, ideally concentrated on banking products including mortgages.
  • Demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding sales targets and contributing to business development growth.
  • Experience operating effectively within a highly regulated financial services environment with a focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to coordinate complex tasks across diverse teams and product lines.
