Job Description: 

Job Summary

The Data Portfolio Analyst supports the execution of the CIB Data Strategy portfolio by coordinating and tracking delivery across all CIB data initiatives. This role enables consistent portfolio oversight, roadmap maintenance for investment planning and support the benefit validation process via strategy metrics establishment for CIB Data Strategy. The role holder partners closely with the Portfolio Lead and Project Managers to ensure delivery transparency, adherence to standards, and high‑quality portfolio insights.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Support development and refinement of the CIB Data Strategy roadmap and multi‑year portfolio plan.
  • Ongoing maintenance and status progress update on the strategic roadmap
  • Contribute analysis and insights for strategy metrics planning and development discussions.

 

Business

  • Coordinate across project managers, business stakeholders, technology teams, and CDO functions to gather portfolio updates and ensure alignment.
  • Provide timely analysis on portfolio performance, risks, milestones, and interdependencies.

 

Processes

  • Maintain roadmap execution and strategy metrics dashboards, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Support milestone reporting, and portfolio governance packs.
  • Consolidate monthly and quarterly delivery reporting for management committees.
  • Build awareness of CIB Data Strategy works by charting a roadmap of upcoming changes

 

Risk Management

  • Track strategy‑level risks, dependencies, and commitments.
  • Escalate slippage, issues, or concerns impacting strategy progress


Governance

  • Support preparation of materials for CIB Data PgSC, Working Groups, and Steering Committees.
  • Ensure actions, decisions, and commitments are captured and monitored.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Comply with regulatory obligations, conduct standards, and Group Data policies.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of data presented in risk forums.
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working in or consulting for Financial Institutions is critical. Knowledge of Corporate & Institutional Banking is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with business, operations, compliance and technology stakeholders across varying levels of seniority
  • Ability to craft meaningful yet succinct PowerPoint presentations and reports is a must.
  • Ability to create effective work relationships across functions & borders
  • Good presentation, time management, negotiation and influencing skills
