Job Summary

As a Cash Specialist, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our SME Banking segment by executing strategies aligned with the Group’s objective. 

Key Responsibilities

•     To review SME Banking RM’s account plans with a view to increase Standard Chartered wallet share for cash products and to increase contribution of cash revenues.  
•     Partner closely with Transaction Banking Cash Products team in Corporate & Investment Bank  (CIB).
•     Lead the development of cash and treasury management propositions, and optimising SME Banking clients pricing and portfolio.
•     Improve on-boarding process and participate in Client Due Diligent (CDD) related projects.
•     Improve end-to-end cash, deposit, Foriegn Exchange (FX) and payment related process, and ensure appropriate risk control and governance.
•     Lead/participate in digital roadmap design of SME Banking clients and drive digital channel adoption.
•     Work closely with frontline sales to commercialize cash business opportunities and provide expertise support in solution delivery.
•     To conduct training & best practice sharing sessions with all SME Banking frontline teams and touch - points on various cash related initiatives and product knowledge.

Processes
•    Support the framework for effective management of operational risks across the Business and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations at a global level
•    Support the execution of Business strategy in a safe and well-controlled manner and on an end-to-end basis – incorporating infrastructure requirements and ensuring that they are fit-for-growth
•    Follow and comply with AML CDD policies and procedures where applicable
•    Ensure internal / external CDD requirements are adhered to
•    This role encompasses the processes under the ORF namely; Client Due Diligence, On-boarding and Account Management, Static Data Monitoring, Offshore Booking, Client Offboarding and Complaints Handling.

Risk Management
•    Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
•     Work effectively across SCB, using values behaviours to drive sustainable business growth.
•     Adherence to laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies (including anti-money laundering, sanction, anti-bribery & corruption and relevant FCC risks) and the Group Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

•    Relevant undergraduate degree, ideally with minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Banking or Financial Services industry.
•    Good command in English.
•    Good understanding of Companies Act and basic understanding of Cash Management and Trade Working Capital (optional).
•    Able to work under broad direction but is a self-motivated individual who can demonstrate strong sense of initiative with the ability to work independently and as a team player; has technical responsibility and accountability for work performed and decisions taken.
•    Possess effective interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, and collaboration skills.
•    Results-oriented, target driven and able to work under stress.
•    Establish sufficient experience in balancing between sales target and prioritising compliance and regulatory framework.
•    This role requires extensive travelling
