Job Summary

The Associate Director, Life Insurance Product and Insurance Financing, Bancassurance will serve as a subject matter expert across insurance products, bancassurance processes and insurance financing. The role holder will support the end-to-end product lifecycle, drive process enhancement and maintain effective control monitoring across Bancassurance activities. Working closely with insurance partners, internal control functions and the Bank’s business segments, the role holder will contribute to deepening insurance penetration while ensuring client outcomes, operational effectiveness and regulatory expectations are appropriately addressed. The role holder will operate as part of a team of four product managers.

Key Responsibilities

•    Insurance Penetration – Support the Bank’s insurance growth strategy by strengthening insurance propositions and maintaining a comprehensive, competitive product suite across Retail, Private Banking, SME and Digital channels.
•    Product Suite – Conduct regular insurance market research and comparative analysis to maintain a competitive and relevant product suite, and to identify market best practices for bancassurance propositions and processes.
•    Channel Engagement – Drive insurance product penetration by working closely with business segments and Insurance Specialist management team, and by developing business enablers to strengthen frontline awareness and adoption of insurance propositions.
•    Bancassurance Process – Maintain, review and enhance end-to-end bancassurance processes across insurance sales, operations, insurance financing, referral activities and after-sales servicing, with a focus on best client outcomes, operational efficiency and control effectiveness.
•    Frontline Engagement – Engage with frontline teams and business segments to streamline processes, reinforce process and control expectations, and uphold quality standards across bancassurance activities.
•    Product Onboarding & Management – Manage the onboarding, review and renewal lifecycle of life and general insurance products, insurers and insurance brokers across business segments, including product and provider due diligence, approval governance, launch readiness, post-implementation review and internal training.
•    Project-based Engagements – Support the delivery of new business initiatives with insurance partners and business segments, and contribute to regulatory, compliance and control-related workstreams within Bancassurance projects.

Ideal candidate

•    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines; MBA or postgraduate degree preferred
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Risk Management and Project Management of Wealth Products 

•    Strong knowledge of Insurance and Wealth Products 
•    Experience with business impact Analysis, process mapping, scenario planning and resilience testing methodologies 
•    Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills 
•    Strong project and program management capabilities 
•    Professional Qualification in financial industry e.g. CPA, CFA would be an advantage
