Job Description: 

Job Summary

The CMPS Structured Products team provides pricing, execution and advisory services to Private Banking, Business Banking and Retail clients in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will support daily operations, business continuity and the delivery of innovative structured product solutions, while assisting with new payoff onboarding, documentation, system enhancements, process improvements and training support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Structured Products team in daily desk activities, including trade execution, price quotations, trade booking, term sheet generation and P&L booking.
  • Assist in monitoring business performance against commercial and financial targets, ensuring key metrics remain on track.
  • Engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders through client visits, conference calls and emails.
  • Support presentations, training materials and business updates.
  • Participate in training workshops for relationship managers where required.
  • Assist with system enhancements, user acceptance testing and process improvements to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Help identify, monitor and manage business, operational, governance and compliance risks related to the CMPS Structured Products business.
  • Support the execution of long-term strategic and tactical plans to capture business opportunities within Standard Chartered Bank’s Hong Kong footprint.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred (Finance, Business, Economics, or related technical discipline)
  • Experience in the financial industry or related capital markets functions
  • Practical Knowledge of Structured products
  • Strong understanding of trade lifecycle from execution to settlement
  • License for Type 1 and Type 4 activities

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to investigate and resolve issues
  • High attention to detailed and strong control/risk mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with various stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (spoken and written)
