Key Responsibilities
- Execute cash bonds, credit structured products, and other approved fixed income instruments across G10 and EM markets in both primary and secondary markets, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to best execution standards.
- Maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers, and internal stakeholders to source liquidity, improve fills, and manage market impact.
- Provide client coverage support for Private Banking and Retail Banking businesses.
- Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors, and Treasury Specialists to deliver efficient execution, market insights, and trade feasibility assessments.
- Offer trade ideas, including execution strategies, liquidity considerations, and pricing levels, while ensuring proper segregation of duties between execution and advisory functions in accordance with policy.
- Support product rollouts and campaign execution for Retail where needed (e.g., new bond offerings), ensuring operational readiness and clear execution workflows.
- Implement long-term strategic and tactical plans to capture business opportunities within the footprint of SCB in Hong Kong for the Fixed Income asset class.
- Manage trade execution and market coverage effectively.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred (Finance, Business, Economics, or related technical discipline).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, preferably in Middle Office / Trade Support or related capital markets functions.
- Practical Knowledge of Structured products, foreign exchange (FX), Fixed income products (FI).
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle from execution to settlement.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to investigate and resolve issues
- High attention to detailed and strong control/risk mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with various stakeholders
- Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (spoken and written)
