Title: Associate Director - Macro Middle Office

Job Summary
The Markets Business & Client Solutions (MBCS) brings together the Global Markets Middle Office Team, Markets Client Solutions and the In-Country Markets Operations footprint to foster consistency in client and business face-off across products and geographies.
Reporting directly to the Director, Markets Business & Client Solutions GCNA.
This is a strategic hire for the Country Lead and will include a mandate to embed strong & robust operating models, risk & control principles, enact behavioural change and develop a control focussed culture across the organisation, front to back.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with business and COO to continuously provide value add service to drive efficiency and support business growth.
- New business enablement and solutions, partner to deliver strategic Markets initiatives.
- System migration on Markets Target Operating Model
- Constantly seek opportunities to improve global consistency, work closely with the Hubs (GBS), Centre of Excellence and other regions to close gaps and standardise processes.
- Communicate with clients to solve immediate day to day issues with transactions as well as understand their longer terms needs to shape business decisions in Operations.
- Build strong relationship with Hub teams (Fixed Income & OTC Derivs Ops) to facilitate efficient communications and speedy resolutions of issues:
- Identify and close knowledge gaps within the Hubs through hands on training.
- Daily KPI monitoring vs SLA
- FM Macro business including FX, FX Derivatives, Rates, XVA and Commodities.
- Trade capture, life cycling, daily funding and PnL flash runs for Macro business.
- Manage query remediation, trade life-cycling and other day-to-day processing, ensuring timely escalation to minimise risk exposure.
- Face of Operations to Macro Trading and Sales Desks locally – primary point of contact
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of Markets businesses, product life cycle, and the operating environment
• Previous experience in a senior strategic platform – Head of Middle Office, COO, Operations Mgmt.
• Evidenced track record of high-profile project delivery (Regulatory, External / Internal Policy, Industry Standards, Technology)
• Leadership - Strong personal brand with the gravitas and presence to create a movement.
• External network with awareness of the latest industry developments / technology in 1LOD support models and control frameworks
• Strategic mindset & forward-thinking vision
• Strength in problem solving, process re-engineering and project management.
• Data-driven mindset – Able to use data to produce a “story” and present a roadmap / solution to target state.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Influencing skills – Able to simplify complex problems / scenarios to a wide audience and gain stakeholder buy-in
