Job Summary

•    Work on analysis, assessment and trade documentation of securitisation projects, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
•    Provide timely structuring support on Credit structured products both at the trade idea origination level and at execution time
•    Generating / providing market watch and generic trade ideas to sales force, provide support on documentation review and drafting, deliver marketing support and product explanation to sales and to clients when necessary
•    Analysing, assessing and propose bespoke solutions based on specific client needs, liaise with sales/trading/legal/MO and other related support functions to transform idea to trade

Job Responsibilities

•    Take responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of my role. Understand and comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Groups policies, procedures and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters. Contribute to a culture in which all stakeholders feel safe to raise concerns and where risk and compliance matters are addressed and misconduct appropriately dealt with.•  
•   Contribute to the development and promotion of securitisation and structured credit business in the region by:   
    -Promoting structured finance and structured credit business in GCNA markets, leveraged on local client coverage and group’s product capacity and structuring expertise. Facilitate product implementation and production by working in cooperation with different functions including sales/trading, COO, compliance, risk, legal etc. 
•    Generating / providing market watch and generic trade ideas to sales force, provide marketing support and product explanation to sales and to clients when necessary
•    Build up tailor-made solutions based on specific client needs, liaise with sales/trading/legal/MO and other related support functions to transform idea to trade
•    
Ensure the stability, long-term sustainability and reputation of the Bank in structured product business by:
     -Preparing termsheets in conjunction with L+C guidance
     -Providing impartial guidance of matters of appropriateness/suitability
     -Discourage transactions with unmanageable market risk profiles
     -Helping reduce credit losses for the bank by pro-active identification of restructuring / unwinding opportunities 

 

Job Requirements

•   Post graduate degree in Financial Engineering, Mathematics applied or Business Management, or relevant quantitative or professional discipline preferred
•   Good command in English and Cantonese/Mandarin
  Role Specific Technical Competencies:
    -Financial product modelling
    -Business writing 
    -Knowledge in laws applicable in financial markets 
    -Knowledge of local regulations applicable to financial markets 
    -Knowledge of global codes and regulations applicable to financial markets
    -Coding
