Job Summary
PvB Business Manager (Market Analysis and Business Strategies)
This role is part of the Business Management Team, responsible in leading market research and analysis to provide strategic insights on market trends and client segments. This position will prepare detailed internal and external presentations for senior management, and collaborate across teams to align market intelligence with business goals and identify growth opportunities. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, managing key processes, and acting as a central point for problem-solving cross-function issues.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and competitive analysis to inform the development of new business proposals.
• Prepare high-quality presentations, briefing materials, and reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
• Partner directly with the Regional Head to develop, launch, and manage new strategic initiatives from conception to execution.
Business
• Work closely with Finance and Product teams in reviewing progress against business targets & objectives and productivity ratios.
• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end implementation of projects that involve multiple business units (e.g., Wealth Management, CIB, Compliance, etc).
• Act as a central liaison between different teams, facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
• Assist the Head of Business Planning Management in the daily operation of the business, ensuring smooth operational flow.
Processes
• Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Conduct ad-hoc strategic analysis and deep dives into specific business issues as requested by the management.
• Recommend and help implement solutions to enhance productivity, control, and client experience.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day operational issues and escalations, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
• Interface with all support areas on issues resolution and organization improvement.
Management Reporting & Presentation Development
• Develop, produce, and distribute high-quality presentations and reports for senior management, including performance metrics, business reviews, and strategic initiatives.
• Synthesize complex data from multiple sources (e.g., financial results, pipeline reports, key performance indicators) into clear, concise, and impactful narratives.
• Create compelling visual representations of data (charts, graphs) to effectively communicate key messages.
• Prepare monthly business reports and provide analysis to assist Regional Head to run the business.
• Knowledgeable in using AI to assist in data analytics. Advance skill sets in formulating AI requests and obtaining information and analysis from AI.
Risk Management
• Resolve issues pertaining to client on-boarding, compliance, infrastructure and AML.
• Follow up on audit, training, complaints and ad-hoc administrative issues.
• Work with businesses to define process and procedure gaps.
• Providing on-going support to the market on ad-hac requests.
• Work closely with other business support units to address business requirements and priorities. Maximize the alignment between front and back functions.
• Work in close partnership with control functions to ensure the control is in place and the market activities are aligned with the local regulatory and corporate governance requirement.
Governance
• Coordinate Front Office feedback and specify business requirements.
• Improve organizational effectiveness and resources efficiency by coordinating resources.
• Initiate, lead and /or participate in change initiatives and their subsequent implementation.
• Interface with all support areas on issues resolution and organization improvement.

Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a strong plus.
• 8+ years of proven experience in a business management or management consulting role within the financial services industry; private banking or wealth management experience is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with business analysis and strategy development.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative research and data analysis.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, charts); experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a strong plus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft senior management-level presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
