Job Description: 

Responsibilities

•    Drive the convertible bond financing and trading activity for Equity Financing Derivatives (EFD)
•    Automate and Straight Through Processing (STP) as many back office and middle office processes as possible
•    Work with Financial Markets (FM) Sales and Relationship Manager (RM)’s in the various regions to promote products
•    Work with the Head of EFD to deliver the overall product in a coordinated fashion
•    Awareness and understanding of the strategy and business model of the Group and Global Credit, as appropriate to the role
•    Maximise total product income by ensuring effective end to end client identification, risk management, service and infrastructure 
•    Work in conjunction with other partners to ensure SCB has a best-in-class equity offering

•    Primary goal is to drive the PNL around trading convertible bonds.
•    Secondary goal is to back up the rest of team and help drive new initiatives for EFD overall
•    Achieving assigned full year objectives as per annual Performance Review (P3) document
•    Accountable for setting achievable performance targets relating to business
•    Help manage the implementation of Funds and Structured Products strategies and ensure that performance objectives and revenue goals are met and Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) targets managed
•    Active performance monitoring — spot areas of underperformance and take corrective action

Requirements

Qualifications
•    Education - Good engineering degree and proven ability to handle quantitative models
Training     
•    Substantial experience of and demonstrated success in structured or flow Credit Trading
•    Must possess sharp business acumen (including ability to assess risk and appropriate levels of return), excellent interpersonal skills and multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity
•    Ability to work with geographically dispersed and highly varied stakeholders
