• Utilise the Chief Investment Office’s (CIO) house views and work with Capital Market Product Solutions (CMPS) to create product/structures ideas across FI, FX, Commodities and Equities that align with CIO house views.
• Participate in CIO GIC level 2 meetings to stay acquainted on asset class level views. As appropriate, express opinions and views during those discussions.
• Maintain and produce the weekly Derivative Trade Notes. Generate new and timely product/structures ideas that align with CIO house views and advocate for those product ideas with CMPS, which drives Wealth Solutions business.
• Communicating the CIO team’s House Views and Macro Outlook to internal stakeholders, clients and the media. Internally hold regular briefings for CMPS, Investment Advisors and Relationship Managers(RMs), and support RMs in client engagements as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Utilise and advocate CIO house views to internal stakeholders, with a focus on CMPS. Connect and align CIO house views with CMPS business needs to produce ideas that are commercially sound and with a view of maximising good client outcomes.
• Maintain and produce the weekly Derivative Trade Notes. Generate new and timely product/structures ideas that align with CIO house views and advocate for those product ideas with CMPS, which drives Wealth Solutions business.

• Generate ideas for Wealth product solutions: Internalise CIO house views via participation in GIC meetings and work with CMPS to generate commercially sound ideas with a view to maximise probability of good client outcomes
• Communicating the CIO team’s House Views and Macro Outlook to internal stakeholders, and clients. Internally hold regular briefings for CMPS, Investment Advisors and Relationship Managers. Support RMs in client engagements
Processes
• Participate in monthly Level 2 GIC meetings. Develop deep understanding of CIO house views and the debate behind the conclusions.
• Regularly engage with CMPS and be the primary liaison between CMPS and office of CIO. Collaborate with CMPS to develop product ideas.

• Senior Investment Strategist responsible for espousing CIO house views and generating product ideas. Also mentor more junior members on markets and investment thought processes.
Risk Management
• Fiduciary mindset: Generate ideas that are sound that maximise probability of good outcomes for clients.

• Quality control: Ensuring publications adhere to different regulatory and compliance constraints across segments, markets and products for Retail and Private Banking clients.
• Challenge the consensus: A willingness to challenge conventional wisdom and think independently of a wider team.

• Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Singapore, Office of the CIO or Hong Kong, Office of the CIO; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats).
Our Ideal Candidate
- 15+ years of experienced Investment Strategist or Cross-Asset Derivatives specialist with financial markets experience across Fixed Income, FX, Equities, and structured solutions.
- Deep macroeconomic knowledge and a strong ability to translate CIO investment views into commercially viable wealth product ideas.
- They should be highly credible in engaging senior stakeholders, clients, and media, while simplifying complex investment themes for non-specialist audiences.
- Strong communication, thought leadership, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a fiduciary mindset focused on delivering strong client outcomes.
- CFA qualification or an advanced degree in Finance/Economics is highly preferred.

- Cross-Asset Derivatives Strategy (FI, FX, Equities, Commodities) and structured products expertise.
- Deep understanding of macroeconomics, financial markets, interest rates, and investment strategy formulation.
- Wealth product ideation, portfolio solutions, and translating CIO house views into actionable investment opportunities.
- Publication management, investment content creation, and market commentary.
- Governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and independent strategic thinking.
