Private Banking Internship Programme – 2026

We’re looking for talented, driven individuals to join our Financial Intermediaries Markets (FIM) team on our 2026 Private Banking Internship Programme. During a ten-week learning journey, you’ll learn from leaders, get involved in key projects, and build the skills to propel your career forward.

The Financial Intermediaries Markets (FIM) team within the Standard Chartered Global Private Bank, and services External Asset Managers (EAMs).  An EAM is a licensed wealth manager that sits between a client and their custodian bank, such as Standard Chartered. The end-client grants the EAM authority and limited power of attorney to manage the investment portfolio and asset allocation on his/her behalf. The assets remain in the client’s name, but the EAM makes decisions on how they should be managed.  This is one of the fastest growing segments of the wealth management industry in Hong Kong. FIM sits within our global Wealth and Retail Banking function.

We serve more than 13 million individuals and small businesses, with a focus on the affluent segment which encompasses Private Banking, Priority Private, Priority Banking, and Premium Banking. Within the mass retail sector, our strategic focus is on emerging affluent clients who will progress in their wealth journey with us, forming the future pipeline of affluent clients.

We’re a leading wealth manager in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and our deep local presence and international network enables us to capture the strong structural tailwinds which are driving cross-border wealth flows. Our comprehensive product offerings span across deposits, payments, financing, advisory, investments and bancassurance.
