Job Summary

As a Product Owner, candidate will be responsible for and own the data product backlog. Working closely with AI squad made of Data Scientist and Full Stack Product Developer to deliver solutions to opportunities identified by business PO.
This role is critical in driving AI adoption and enablement across the bank functions. 
This pivotal role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that AI initiatives align with business goals and deliver tangible value. It will be responsible for translating complex AI concepts into actionable business strategies and facilitating the successful implementation of AI-driven solutions.
 

Key Responsibilities

•    Provide thought leadership in data science techniques and business applications to unlock the value of SCB’s data sets and external information.
•    Continually look at the environment to challenge our assumptions around new sources of data, potential analytics partners, tools, talent and infrastructure.
•    Engage with internal clients to improve delivery of analytic projects.
•    Explore leading methodologies and best practices and importing successful methodologies from international markets.
•    Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and strategy.
•    Collaborate with data science teams to design and implement AI models and algorithms that address specific business needs.
•    Interpret and communicate the results of AI models to business stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
•    Recruiting, develop and retain a world class team of diverse data scientists and data architects
•    Provide training and support to business users to help them understand and leverage AI tools and technologies.
•    Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by promoting the benefits of AI and encouraging experimentation.
•    Work with senior management to develop and refine the bank's AI strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
•    Identify and prioritize AI use cases that have the potential to deliver significant business value.
•    Develop business cases for AI projects, including cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and ROI estimation.
 

Skills and Experience

•    Minimum 10 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics and predictive / statistical modelling or relevant area
•    Strong industry experience solving business problems through application of quantitative analytic approaches.
•    Proven track record for success in leading high-performance data science teams and building out best-in-class capabilities at the enterprise level.
•    Deep expertise in advanced analytics and data science methods, tools, platforms and processes required to successfully design, build and operationalize data science solutions.
•    Client-facing experience, with the ability to manage relationships with client/engineering teams.
•    Combination of analytical, technical and business acumen 
•    Experience in translating data concepts into business recommendations.
•    Work experience in data engineering such as APIs or data self-service solutions.
•    Understanding of banking products and operations gained in technical role in financial services.
 

Qualifications

At least master’s degree in quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, operations research or engineering/technology with an emphasis on statistical analysis and data science, Ph.D. degree in those fields is preferred
