Job Summary

•    Work as Development Chapter Lead - Finance (Tax) Technology. – covering all streams viz. Direct Tax, Indirect Tax and, Client tax information reporting
•    Individual will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of the program within the stipulated timelines & providing technical solution for applications under Tax estate. 
•    Manage large-scale data warehouse and analytics projects – including the data visualisation capability by using tool like MSTR, etc…
•    Ongoing maintenance of the applications in Tax estate – the data platforms and other applications in Direct Tax, Client tax Information Reporting, Indirect Tax
•    Functions as Cyber warden and responsible for ensuring timely closure of ICS remediations, application security and vulnerability fixes.
•    Drive technical solutions to ensure all open issues / risks being raised on Tax applications are duly addressed.   
•    Across TAX Applications - Responsible for end-to-end project management including scope definition, planning, governance compliance, and delivery.
•    Assist in the analysis of production BAU tasks, including issue investigation, providing frameworks for remediation programs and writing specifications for changes

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead end-to-end coordination for EDMP Tax platform – across all 3 Tax streams – Client Tax, Direct and Indirect Tax and with downstream applications.  
•    Across TAX Applications - Responsible for end-to-end project management including scope definition, planning, governance compliance, and delivery for all EDMP platform programs impacting Tax – like GDP, etc… 
•    Function as cyber warden for all applications in  Tax tech estate – and ensure compliance to risk management, ICS guidelines, timely closure of vulnerabilities, etc.,
•    Manage the SRE team, Run metrics, Service KPI’s, SLA’, OLA for all the applications in the Tax tech estate.
•    Ongoing maintenance, Technology support management, Infrastructure provisioning management for all the applications in the Tax estate 
•    Develop delivery and release plans with technical dependencies, by considering all freeze and by aligning with all partners with support from the team and architect.

Strategy
•    As part of the Tax FFG case – ensure the design, build and ongoing maintenance of the data platforms which is critical to meet the end Tax reporting objective – local and group reporting, GCC/VAT compliance reporting and Client tax information reporting 
•    Drive the technical solution, onboarding, vendor management, integration and ongoing maintenance for the for Global e-invoicing of VAT / GST
•    Maintaining of Infra and hygiene across all Tax applications. 

Business
•    Collaborate with Product owners of Tax and interfacing systems for prioritisation discussions. 
•    Represent Tax Tech in several forums like Scrum calls Working groups, Service review meetings , etc… along with respective product owners, change leads, tech leads
•    Works closely with the Tax Product Owner to ensure the team maintains focus on value delivery, reducing waste, preventing over committing and/or complacency, and ensuring space for innovation.
•    Enable high performance through transparency of all delivery metrics and regular reviews across squad in Tax. 
•    Drive engineering best practices in the Squad, aligned with central guidance and guide the team for technical solutions. 
•    Expertly facilitate the team to regularly inspect & adapt using empirical data and focus on continuous improvement.

Processes
•    Lead end-to-end coordination for EDMP Tax platform – across all 3 Tax streams – Client Tax, Direct and Indirect Tax. 
•    TAX Application - Responsible for end-to-end project management including scope definition, planning, governance compliance, and delivery. 
•    Identify cross-team dependencies and collaborate across the organization to manage them.
•    Ensure all releases for Tax applications are taken up through ADO and by complying to all related processes.
•    Strict adherence of ESDLC process around pre-release, release process and post release compliance across Tax applications – ensuring that all release for Tax apps are fully compliant. 
•    Develop delivery and release plans with technical dependencies, by considering all freeze and by aligning with all partners with support from the team and architect.
•    Storage optimization for Tax apps – partition level purging by moving data to low cost archival area – thereby reduction to cost and also to maintain the data retention process. 
•    Ensure procuring of architecture approvals for release to be carried out. 
•    Own release planning activities inclusive of creating the change implementation plan, coordinating with all teams involved for alignment/seeking commitments to the plans, ESDLC process, raising change tickets, running UVT and seeking sign offs for all concerned parties.

People & Talent 
•    Partner with existing data streams – EDMP and interfacing applications.
•    Effectively collaborate and work along on various senior stakeholders, program mangers and architects for critical bank wide programs like GDP, etc…
•    Collaborate with engineering chapter leads and ensure the engineers in the hive adhere to all the guidelines, metrics, learnings programs are adhered to by the engineers 
•    Effectively uses teamwork to positively contribute to a high-morale, high-performance team culture in Tax estate. 
•    Can effectively communicate business and technical information across the organization, being sensitive to the needs of unique audiences

Risk Management
•    Drive technical solutions to ensure all open issues / tech risks being raised on Tax applications are duly prioritised and addressed.   
•    Functions are Cyber warden and responsible for application security and vulnerability fixes.
•    Collaborate with broader stakeholders to resolve blockers / impediments for delivery.
•    Collaborate with relevant IT teams and business users who may be Product owner or end users to manage any risk or issues or problem and arrange for a resolution effectively
•    Work cross-functionally and think both critically and strategically

Governance 
•    Provide updates to the senior management and stakeholder with regards to progress and issues, where appropriate.
•    Compliance to the various operations risk, tech risk, ICS risk guidelines 
•    Ensure all release artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies.
•    Compliance to the OLA’s, SLA’s and other service KPI’s 
•    Daily running of SCRUM and the Agile ceremonies to be conducted on timely manner.
•    Recording and timely tracking and closing of the action items in various forums – Service review meetings, Risk governance calls, etc., 

Regulatory & Business Conduct

•    Over 15 years and above total experience in IT preferably Banking or Financial Services Domain
•    Draw out the plan / timelines by considering all critical aspects of the projects.
•    Ensure that the squad delivers the committed technology delivery.
•    Manage large-scale data warehouse and analytics projects – including the data visualisation capability by using tool like MSTR, etc…
•    Highlight potential failure points and mitigate those risks.  Mapping out recovery from failure processes. 
•    Proven ability to create data mapping flows from source to target and include the full transformation through each intermediate stage gate.  Ability to create mappings for new interfaces and to retrofit for implemented interfaces using existing documents / system investigation 
•    Ongoing maintenance, Technology support management, Infrastructure provisioning management for all the applications in the Tax estate 
•    Critically review functional and technical specifications that others may have created and identify gaps with reference to best practice and tracking those gaps to closure.  
•    Ability to understand Tax applications architecture model and how connected components integrate with each other to deliver the platform and understand the technical or functional constraints of the connected system.
•    Drive the technical solutions effectively towards the target architecture model for Tax estate. 

•    Understanding non-functional requirements (across custom-built code components and vendor software) and integrating those with functional requirements to deliver a robust platform 
•    Analytical open mind and self-starter, willing to build knowledge by liaising with multiple build teams, interfacing to internal and external teams, reviewing documents, exploring systems and sefl-learning. 
•    Tax domain and data platform knowledge is must. 
•    Excellent Communicator: verbal, written and presentation

Qualifications

Graduation in engineering 

Technical Skills:
•    Hands on experience and expertise in Hadoop, Hive / SQL, Python, Pyspark.
•    In depth knowledge EDMP platform and system landscape.
•    Management of infra management across Linux, Windows, and Citrix environments.
