RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy

As a SRE Lead
•    Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions.
•    Plan and implement Wintel and UNIX technical support projects to meet the need of technology organization.
•    Identify Opportunities to Optimize Infrastructure o Identify and propose opportunities to optimize cost, risk or performance based on a thorough understanding of the estate and available technical solutions.
•    Financial Baselines and Rates - Defining the financial cost models and rates (L0 Green and blue) to be used for forecasting and solution processes and baselines.
•    Delivery Initiation/Engagement - Ensuring approved technical solution is passed to the appropriate CTI delivery team.
•    Define Infrastructure Standards for each Business - Define the technology infrastructure strategy for each client in line with application development strategy.
•    Experience/Knowledge in python.
•    Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions.

Business

Awareness and understanding of the FCSO business, economic and market environment

Processes
•    you need to have a strong technical team in cross country to support Screening Applications from alternative locations and alternate Data centres.
•    Perform cost/benefit analysis and make recommendations on the acquisition or enhancement of hardware, network and system software/layered product for the regional data center.
•    Hands on knowledge on AWS, Azure cloud products.
•    Hand on Knowledge on Fircosoft suite of products
•    Hands on Knowledge on Scripting toolset.
•    Plan and implement technical support such that defined targets are achieved and resources are optimized.
•    Work closely with regional seniors in providing effective management servers estate.
•    Participate in the determination of sound technical strategies that support corporate objectives.

People & Talent
•    Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
•    Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
•    Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
•    Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.

Risk Management
Manage risk related to Services we manage and enable detective controls.

Governance
Responsibilities relating to the direction, planning, structure, frameworks (e.g. processes and policies) and oversight. Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
