Job Description: 

Job Summary

Cloud Engineering Lead with 10-18 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure. This role involves leading infrastructure automation, driving cloud adoption strategies, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Kafka, Hazelcast, ELK, Prometheus, and strong networking skills.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Infrastructure Architecture & Automation:
o    Lead the design and automation of infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Ansible.
o    Oversee the deployment of Kafka, Hazelcast, and ELK on cloud and on-prem environments.
o    Define and implement multi-region, HA/DR strategies.
•    Cloud & Kubernetes Management:
o    Architect and manage large-scale Kubernetes clusters on AWS, Azure, OpenShift.
o    Optimize networking, security, and performance in cloud and on-prem environments.
o    Implement multi-tenancy solutions using Capsule.
•    Monitoring, Observability & Security:
o    Design and implement enterprise-grade monitoring using Prometheus, ELK, and custom alerting solutions.
o    Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and governance.
o    Implement best practices for IAM, encryption, and role-based access control.
•    Leadership & Strategic Initiatives:
o    Drive cost optimization initiatives, including AWS Managed Kafka adoption.
o    Lead cloud migration and hybrid cloud adoption strategies.
o    Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

•    Act as Product Owner (PO) and Engineering Lead for Infrastructure requirements.
•    Lead overall SCPay infrastructure capacity planning.
•    Work outside the scrum framework to address overall SCPay Infrastructure needs.
•    Drive innovation initiatives, including AI, Platform Engineering, and related advancements.
•    Serve as the SME for the SKE Platform.

Processes
•    Ensure adherence to standardized cloud and infra structure deployment processes, optimizing automation, security and scalability. 
•    Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

•    Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association (or equivalent)

Skills and Experience

•    AWS / Azure Services
•    Kubernetees
•    Scripting languages – Python/Shell
•    Kafka, Hazelcat, Elastic Search, CI/CD – Jenkins / Azure ADO
•    Ansible, Terraform

Qualifications

•    Education           BE / MCA / MSC in Computer Science 
•    Certifications    AWS Cloud Practitioner, CKA, or Azure certifications preferred
•    Deep expertise in Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Kafka, Hazelcast, ELK, Prometheus.
•    Strong background in cloud networking, Linux, and security.
•    Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, OpenShift, and hybrid cloud environments.
•    Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation.
•    Proven experience in HA, DR, and multi-region deployments.
Preferred Qualifications:
•    AWS Solutions Architect, CKAD/CKA, or Azure certifications preferred.
•    Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
