Job Summary

Strategy/ Business
Compliance to Risk & Control
•    Ensures adherence to internal policies related to applicable processes to Trade Finance domain, with focus on technology/ICS/Resiliency categories. Also, to the applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Control Evaluation and Testing
•    Comprehensive assessments of Technology & ICS controls to ensure they are operating effectively, including substantive verification of supporting evidences.

People & Talent
•    Not applicable since not a People Leader

Risk Assessment and Mitigation
•    Identifying, analyzing, and managing risks associated with technology, including cyber threats, data breaches, and system failures. 
•    Produces and manages documented, specific resolution action plans, actively seeking to close open items by working with risk/issue owners.

Processes/ Governance

Stakeholder Management 
•    Builds and maintains strong, positive relationships with stakeholders
•    Ensures key stakeholders are kept aware of project status, risks & issues (‘no surprises’)

Collaboration
•    Working with cross-functional teams, including IT, Compliance, and Operational Risk, to support control design, implementation, and monitoring. 
 

Key Responsibilities

Documentation and Reporting
•    Maintaining detailed documentation of assessments, testing procedures, and results to support conclusions and recommendations. 

Communication and Stakeholder Management
•    Communicating risk findings and recommendations to various levels of management, including senior leaders, and building strong relationships with stakeholders. 

Technical Skills
•    Familiarity with DevOps and SDLC measure and adoption to project deliverables
•    Familiarity with security tools like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), anti-malware software, and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions. 
•    Knowledge of incident response procedures, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery. 
•    Understanding of access control mechanisms and how to implement and maintain them. 
•    Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards like MAS, HKMA. Performing control testing and validation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. 
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
•    Ability to analyze complex data, identify control gaps, and develop effective risk mitigation strategies. 

Communication and Interpersonal Skills
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and present findings to senior management. 

Collaboration
•    Supports Trade product (BnM) build & maintain squads in ensuring compliance to risk & controls measures.
o    Understands thoroughly applicable risk & controls categories for the Trade domain. 
o    Drives with passion adherence to controls requirements. 
o    Management process involves establishing goals, communicating them to the team members, and tracking their progress.
