What’s the opportunity?
• The Process Excellence team, part of Group Transformation Office, requires a Associate Director Process Universe (PU) Design and Governance, to partner across the organisation, to support the design and implementation of the Process Universe and enhanced process ownership approach across the Bank, and the governance to maintain and manage in BAU.
• Underpinned by our ambition and mission to standardise, simplify, and digitise the bank, the Process Excellence (PE) team plays an essential role in providing PE foundational capabilities across the enterprise, to identify challenges and opportunities, raise our transformation ambition and support relevant delivery activities relating to process optimisation (waste elimination, process simplification, digitisation and automation).
What will you do?
The role holder will partner with the PE team, Global Process Owners and other PU roles, to support the definition of how the new process universe should be adopted and implemented, support the development of process ownership and operationalise. As well as ensuring this is well managed, maintained and governed on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Support the PU adoption, and strategic process ownership to enable process improvement and transformation
Business
• Work with Process Element Owners and Process Universe Champions to operationalise the roles, and build the community.
• Support the implementation of the PU pan-bank, and supporting governance
• Support the implementation and maintain governance to manage on ongoing basis
People & Talent
• Support the embedding of the process universe taxonomy and associated standards
• Champion and act as a role model of the Group’s values and culture
• Support a change in mindset, building a culture of process excellence, client and colleague centricity, agility, and accountability through standardised metrics and measurement, ensuring everyone in the Bank are drivers and owners of outcomes
Risk Management
• Identify, assess, monitor risks relating to the set up and running of these capabilities. Support the development and implementation of controls and mitigation plans
Governance
• Support the establishment of appropriate governance, transparency, tracking and communications to maintain SCB Process Universe
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct

Qualifications
• Experience with process excellence
• Minimum 3 years in the change management space, supporting or delivering mid-large size, complex initiatives, ideally in the financial services industry
• Knowledge of ARIS tool preferred
• Understanding of process taxonomy across the Bank, both Businesses and Functions
• Knowledge of “SCB ways”
• Proven experience in maintaining complex framework, influencing across the organisation
• Attention to details and risk & control mindset and experience
• Experience with governance and maintenance of framework and standards
• Strong influencing and communication skills – oral, written and presentation. Proven success in communicating technical information in a simple way.
