Job Summary

•    A Senior Business Analyst (BA) specializing in Intraday Liquidity plays a critical role in ensuring a financial institution's real-time financial stability and compliance. This position sits at the intersection of business strategy, regulatory requirements, and technological solutions, requiring a deep understanding of treasury functions, payment systems, and intraday liquidity risk management.
•    The Intraday Liquidity Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis, design, and implementation of solutions related to intraday liquidity management, monitoring, and reporting. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders across Treasury, Risk Management, Operations, Technology, and other business lines to optimize cash flow, enhance risk controls, and ensure adherence to evolving regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 248, local regulatory frameworks). The Senior BA will translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements, drive process improvements, and contribute to the strategic development of the firm's intraday liquidity framework.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Management
•    Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and prioritization of complex business requirements for intraday liquidity initiatives, including cash flow forecasting, real-time monitoring, collateral management, and regulatory reporting.
•    Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, and opportunities for automation and optimization.
•    Translate high-level business objectives into detailed functional and non-functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
•    Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, to gather requirements and build consensus.

Solution Design & Implementation 
•    Collaborate closely with technology teams, architects, and developers to design and implement robust and scalable solutions.
•    Provide subject matter expertise during the solution design, development, and testing phases.
•    Participate in the evaluation and selection of vendor solutions and internal system enhancements.
•    Develop test strategies, plans, and cases, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
•    Support post-implementation activities, including user training and issue resolution.

Intraday Liquidity Expertise & Risk Management
•    Develop and maintain a strong understanding of intraday liquidity risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
•    Contribute to the development and enhancement of intraday liquidity risk indicators, limits, and stress testing frameworks.
•    Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to intraday liquidity.

Reporting & Analytics
•    Support the production and analysis of intraday liquidity reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
•    Develop and enhance dashboards and analytical tools to provide real-time insights into liquidity positions and exposures.
•    Conduct variance analysis between forecasts and actuals, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.

Stakeholder Management & Communication
•    Act as a primary liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors.
•    Communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
•    Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, influencing decision-making and driving collaborative outcomes.
•    Prepare and deliver presentations, business cases, and reports to senior management.

Project Management Support
•    Support project managers in defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
•    Identify and escalate potential risks and issues, proposing solutions.
•    Contribute to project planning and tracking, ensuring timely and effective execution of initiatives.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

Skills and Experience

•    Excel, SQL
•    Knowledge of payment infrastructures
•    Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
•    understanding of banking products, financial markets, and the balance sheet

Qualifications

Education
•    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience
•    5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on treasury, liquidity risk management, payments, or cash management.
•    Demonstrable experience with intraday liquidity concepts, methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS 248).
•    Experience working on large-scale transformation projects.
Technical Skills
•    Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis (e.g., advanced Excel, SQL).
•    Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), payment systems, and/or liquidity management platforms.
•    Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
•    Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in forecasting is an advantage.
Domain Knowledge
•    In-depth understanding of banking products, financial markets, and the balance sheet.
•    Strong knowledge of payment infrastructures (e.g., SWIFT, RTGS systems).
•    Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as ILAAP, LCR, NSFR, and BCBS 239.
