Job Summary

The Senior Manager in Software Development for the banking domain will lead and manage a team of developers to deliver high-quality software solutions. The role requires extensive experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, API, DevOps, and Hibernate. The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile and Hive model processes, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This position demands excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to interact positively with stakeholders. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • ​​​Develop and implement software development strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.  
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in software development practices. 
  • Ensure the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies in the banking domain.​​  

Business

  • ​​​Collaborate with hive key stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.​ 
  • Ensure that software solutions meet business needs and deliver value to the organization. 
  • Support business growth by developing scalable and robust software applications.​ 

Processes

  • Align to processes and methodologies following the hive/chapter. 
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation throughout the development process.

Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Implement robust testing and quality assurance processes to deliver error-free software. 
     

Skills and Experience

  • Enterprise Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, ReST API, JPA, Model Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Maven, Gradle, Unit Testing frameworks (JUnit) 
  • RDBMS, NoSQL 
  • Microservices architecture, ReST API design and Development. 
  • DevOps: git, ADO, Ansible, Docker, Code review and scans 
  • Container technologies: K8S, Helm 
  • Cloud technologies: AWS 
  • Front-end development, JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML, CSS, Lit framework, SPA 

Qualifications

  • ​​Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree 
  • ​Experience: 2 to 4 years 
  • ​Skill: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Skills 
  • ​Preference: Relevant Skills Certifications​
