Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Engineering Analyst will lead solution design activities for Balance Sheet Management, Liquidity Risk, and IRRBB initiatives. The role will work with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, assess solution options, coordinate design activities, and support implementation. The role will provide practical technology guidance and communicate solution considerations clearly to senior stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Technology, Architecture, Data, and Operations.
- Lead solution analysis and design for Liquidity Risk, IRRBB, ALM, and Balance Sheet Management initiatives. Translate business and regulatory requirements into practical solution designs and implementation plans.
- Develop end-to-end solution designs covering applications, data, integrations, databases, infrastructure, cloud services, security, operational controls, and custom user interfaces. Prepare architecture diagrams, data flows, interface specifications, non-functional requirements, and implementation documentation.
- Work with senior business and technology stakeholders to clarify requirements, priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery impacts. Present solution options and recommendations in clear business language.
- Coordinate design activities across engineering, data, architecture, testing, operations, and vendor teams. Support design reviews, resolve issues, and provide guidance during build, testing, migration, release, and production readiness.
- Identify solution risks, control gaps, performance constraints, data-quality issues, and technical dependencies. Work with relevant teams to agree mitigation actions and escalate material decisions when required.
- Promote practical simplification, reusable design patterns, automation, platform standards, operational resilience, and engineering quality. Support product specialists, engineers, and analysts in improving design and documentation standards.
Skills and Experience
- Degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data, Finance, Banking, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in solution design, solution analysis, application design, data design, engineering, or financial services technology, including experience delivering solutions across multiple teams and platforms.
- Good understanding of Treasury, Liquidity Risk, IRRBB, Balance Sheet Management, ALM, regulatory reporting, financial risk management, data-quality controls, auditability, or operational resilience.
- Experience developing solution designs, assessing options, defining functional and non-functional requirements, supporting architecture reviews, and guiding implementation through testing and production readiness.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders across Treasury, Finance, Technology, Architecture, Data, Operations, and control functions.
- Working technical knowledge of Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, SQL, data models, cloud or hybrid environments, Apache Airflow, PySpark, data pipelines, APIs, integration, security, performance, and custom UI design.
- Practical experience using GHCP, Microsoft Copilot, or similar approved AI productivity tools is preferred. Exposure to enterprise AI solution concepts, including Vector Stores, RAG, Knowledge Graphs, and Grounding, is an advantage but is not a mandatory requirement.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Regnology, Moody’s Analytics, Oracle, PostgreSQL, cloud platforms, Databricks, Tableau, or comparable risk, data, analytics, and reporting platforms.
- Experience supporting technology solutions for Liquidity Risk, IRRBB, ALM, regulatory reporting, or Balance Sheet Analytics.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery teams across multiple locations, including design reviews, implementation support, release readiness, and stakeholder reporting.
